CHAPTER 73: SILENT DAYS part 1

I sat in the cave for a long time thinking of nothing in particular. I was too tired to think, too overwhelmed by the situation until I wanted my mind blank. The fact that my mom might have been a fairly caught me by surprise. She was always quiet, an oppressed submissive wife who could not even lift her eyes in front of her husband. It turned out she was a fairly and she died before I could see her true colors. It would be nice to see her beautiful face, flying in air and performing magic. I would have loved to see her smiling, she barely did... And when she did, it was a tight forced smile that made me feel like crying. If I had this abilities at that time, maybe
... Just maybe I would have saved her. But her husband ran, left my mother and I in an overturned car. I tried to save her but she burnt into ashes before my very eyes...
Why did everything in my life seem so pathetic? Why was my life so unfair to me, Is happiness something too big to ask for?
"The sunset is beautiful"
"What?" I leaped off the rock almost falling into the pool of water lilies before me. A strong, rough hand grabbed my thin wrists pulling me up to my feet.
"Ethan?"
"Yes? Why were you startled?"
I sighed standing still in his arms my back plastered on his chest.
"I was distracted a little... My mind was far away."
"I can tell, but don't worry am here for you and everyone else is ready to hold you when you stumble"
"Really?"
"I mean it" he said inhaling my scent deeply and I could feel him smile. What was going on with this big guy?
"What conspiracy are you planning?"
"None, I just like your scent"
"Oh... Is it that good?"
"It feels like home" he let me go and I faced him "I think that is why you charmed us so easily"
I grinned hugging his huge arm, I leaned against his thick biceps.
"Do you want to see the sunset with me? I found a perfect spot for us "
"Really? Sure let's do it "
"Come with me "
He led the way out of the cave all the way through the backside of the Vines coven. We made our way through the trees that had lost their green natural color and were now covered in snow. Ethan made a turn and we climbed a small hill, pushed through the thick vegetation coming out to a vast lake that was partially frozen.
"Wow" i looked around in pure fascination "this is so cool"
"I know right?" He said proudly "come on sit "
We sat in a log by the wild lake watching the orange, yellow red lights dancing in the sky as the sun set beyond the forested hills and mountains beyond.
"Sunset during winter is magical, it feels so unreal. It is beautiful "
"Very beautiful " he agreed.
We sat in silence watching the sun disappear into the horizon. It was a peaceful silence until I realized Ethan was not looking at the Sunset, but he was staring at me.
"What is the matter?"
"Nothing, you just look prettier everyday " he shrugged.
"Come on, you have really advanced in flirting, ha?"
He grinned "advanced in flirting? Not really I think it's because I used to like you?"
"What?"
He nodded "If you didn't know a number of us had a crush on you" my hands flew to mouth "there was a time I almost committed treason. Those days Grey was really mean to you, I wanted to escape with you. But it seemed the guy had some sanity so I stayed down "
"I didn't know that "
"Well, Xavier also had a crush on you, Arthur too and Dom admitted the first time he saw you... He was whipped "
"Gosh" I blushed unknowingly "how was it so hard to notice?"
"Xavier is a nerd, he could not show it. He is always afraid of expressing himself. Arthur... He was always sympathetic with you but you know old habits die hard...
"Oh I see"
"I am sure we were not the only ones. You are likable because you have a big heart"
"Do I?"
"Definitely" he smiled at me draping his hand around my shoulder holding me close.
"But my crush on you ended, because you were annoyingly in love with your punisher, you were so hopeless"
I laughed co that was so true. I liked him all the way, I couldn't even tell when I started liking him. Maybe it was when he kissed me for the first time or when he carried me from the cell soaked in blood. I don't know when but I can tell I have been hopelessly in love with that prince for a very long time.
"I honestly was hopeless" I admitted shifting my hard to lean comfortably on his shoulder.
"I heard Antonio came, and you're the child of the prophecy"
"It turns out I am"
"Ending up in this coven was not a mistake then... It's destiny!"
"But I am on a tight spot here"
"How so?"
I sat up "the prophecy says that I am bearing the yoke of a mistake my grandparents did. And I have a choice to defy the prophecy at the expense of the vampire clan or to obey the prophecy at the expense of my own life. And if I die, that means Grey will become a complete demon and if his sanity is lost what will happen afterwards us not so promising"
"That's scary" Ethan said slowly "don't you have more options?"
"I wish I had" I admitted "it would put me at ease if I did. But now I am so nervous and worried"
"Well, there must be a way out... Where there is a will there is a way" he smiled at me comfortingly.
"I really like how you have the magic of making heavy situations seem light"
"Glad to be useful " he paused then suddenly spoke "oh, I overheard that Mr MM is starting an organization that will help vampires live with humans. The organization is not stable yet so for now he is testing it out with the vegetarians since they are easy to handle"
"How does it work?" Thus was interesting.
"Well I heard it involves insertion of some microchip that will detect violence and can tell where the individual is. That way, they can know who is in danger and who is causing trouble "
"What of the sun?"
He grinned happily "that is where things get interesting " he paused  "the chip us combined with some  elements that produces anti UV light chemical in radiations. It can detect the sun, so as soon as a vampire steps out into the sun the chip will immediately react and the chemical will start being produced."
"Amazing, this dude is a genius "
"I know, but the chip goes hand in hand with some other sunscreen products that are very advanced "
"That will be so beautiful, I mean we won't have to live in shadows anymore "
"I know right?" He seemed as happy as I was about this new technology.
"Wait, and feeding?"
"He is synthesizing some pills using human blood. Of course you know there are humans who have dedicated their lives to serving the vampires. So this pills kill the thirst of blood and can enable a vampire to take food although not much. But the food won't be useful to us anyway... He was thinking of if a vampire us caught in a situation where he has to sit and eat"
"Fabulous " this guy wouldn't cease to amaze me, but he had lived for thousands of centuries. He had all the knowledge he needed to start such an organization.
"How long are this pills efficient?"
"I didn't get that information... Remember I was eavesdropping" he grinned.
"How did you manage to eavesdrop on vampires like that. They got super powerful senses"
"Well, you didn't hear it when I entered the cave either" be grinned "I was turned by a demon vampire, you don't expect me to be the same as other vampires, do you?"
"Oh, I didn't think of it?"
"Well I can move in silence
... I can create illusions using people's memories"
"What? What kind of illusions?"
"They are not pleasant, remember it is a demon that turned me... Do not expect the illusions to be of beautiful memories. I use people's regrets and painful memories to bring out their weak points ... Their sympathetic sides then I manipulate them"
My eyes went wide, that was a very unpleasant skill at some level.
"When did you find out?"
"When I was learning how to use my vampire skills, after coming back to the Vines coven. I mistakenly used it on a guard.... He killed himself!"
"Why?"
"His saddest memory was the death of his mate, it wounded him badly. So when I brought the whole thing back he was overwhelmed with grief and killed himself. I have never used the skill since then "
"You must have been traumatized "
"I was" I rubbed his back, he was now losing his confidence "I still feel bad when I think about it "
"It was not your fault, you didn't know you had the skill"
"It's okay, some thing we got to feel guilty about them for a long time. We don't have a choice "
"I see, do you think the Gala will attack again soon?"
"I don't think it will be soon, he will show up when we least expect him. That is how David work's. He attacks like a coward and behaves like one too "
"That is my dad we are talking about big guy" I teased him.
"Oops sorry, pardon my outspokenness "
"Is that an apology?" I laughed at the way he said the words out smoothly without taking the blame himself.
"Your husband taught me how to be a smart mouth" he grinned sheepishly.
"Husband? You're becoming nerdy"
"Xavier taught me that too"
"You seem to be taking only the wrong lessons" he grinned at me petting my head.
"We all can't be smart" he stood up pulling me to my feet "come on we should head inside, Grey will skin me alive if he finds out you are not around up to this late hours"
I took his hand and stood up, we walked back to the coven silently enjoying the cold breeze of the night. I was feeling a lot better now... Not as tensed as before.
.. when my silly fate was unfolded before me. But I was hopeful
... He said I would have a son. That made me hopeful that we would push through this and at the end we will see the light. But what made me wonder
... Is if Grey will also be there, he didn't talk about that. But I would love and i hoped and prayed that he would be there too. He was my mate, he was very important to me and the rest of us.
"Go rest well, and keep those thoughts a bay. Let tomorrow worry for itself "
"Yes, wise man" I jogged off to our room.
I walked in, Grey was sleeping on the bed sprawled out as if he had fallen from the sky.
I sat at the edge of the bed brushing the strands of hair off his face. He was very beautiful, I wondered how a man could be this beautiful. I felt like I had won a lottery by just being his mate. And being able to sit beside him like this. Being able to experience his pure love that made me feel like the luckiest being on earth. I caressed his smooth, clean shaved chin and smiled.
This was my man... My handsome mate.
I leaned and kissed his forehead, I could not help it. He was just too magnificent. What a beautiful creature.
"Don't be a drama queen and make a confession when am asleep" I was startled by his sudden thick and husky voice.
"Would you give me a warning first? Jeez, do you want to rip my heart out of my chest?"
"How can I do that to my beautiful woman?"
"That makes me feel old" I pouted stubbornly.
"Woman?"
"Yeah, it makes me feel like am already in my thirties, jeez I just turned nineteen not long ago"
"So what should I call you? Babe? Honey? Sweetheart?"
"What do you think suits me best?"
He grinned supporting his head with his hand staring at me intently... Mrs Grey"
My heart leaped to my throat and I was blushing uncontrollably. He grinned sexily pulling me close to him to lie down beside him. My heart sped up when I looked into his deep green eyes that were glowing with passion and lust.
"What do you think? Isn't Mrs Grey a beautiful name for you"
"I can't breathe... How do you expect me to answer that?"
"But I am breathing just fine..."
He grinned his hand disappearing under my t - shirt. He caressed my skin his eyes unwaveringly holding mine. "What do you think?" He asked again but my eyes rolled back when the tip of his fingers brushed against my hard nipples.
"Don't ... Don't do that...
"Your voice is saying otherwise my love, it is more of... Just keep doing that baby " his words were making heat rise in my body and I trembled with the need to be touched by him. Worse, the tingles at the meeting of my thighs were making me grind against him shamelessly.
"Where is my answer, love?"
"What?... Did you say something...
"I asked what you think about the name I gave you... Mrs Grey..."

His tongue licked the area around my navel, he pulled the t shirt off leaving me in my black bra , soaked in the heat of it and the need of him.
"What were you saying?"
His tongue brushed over my hard nipples sucking through the bra and I lost my mind, my mind went blank and I couldn't think for a moment.

"I need my answer...
"Answer.... Did you ask a question?"
He grinned caressing my stomach, my heart was going crazy. it was going to definitely burst out of my chest.
"I just did" he pealed my pants off and threw them to the floor. "If you don't answer" he caressed my thighs slowly as if feathers were brushing against my skin "I will eat you" he kissed my thighs going north until he was at the peak where the heat was overwhelming me and I was soaking wet.
"And I like this scent" he kissed me through the undies and I trembled uncontrollably. "And how responsive it is" he pealed the panties off with his mouth like a professional porn star.
I bit my lip at the thought of it and he grinned with the piece of cloth hanging from his mouth and I wanted to eat him whole.
"You know what will come next if you don't answer me sweetheart" he leaned closer his groins grinding against me so I could feel his hardness "see what you did to me" be pouted dipping his index finger into my mouth. That turned me on and I almost came without doing anything at all. I sucked on it and he made a sexy face that threw me off to the seventh heaven effortlessly. He pulled it out and sucked it.
"My magnificent mate" he hissed pulling off his shirt and pants. I grinned at the glorious view of him, finely chiseled like a sacred curving in a museum.
"You can still answer if you want to" he grinned temptingly dipping his tongue into my mouth, kissing me slowly as if he had all the time in the world. I held him close, my fingers buried in his dark hair tugging and arching towards him. I was becoming greedy, and I liked that I was. I had always wanted to fuck this man senselessly back then, if I had known he was my mate... I would have ripped him apart a thousand times until his brain was only marked with my name and nothing else.
He pulled back staring deeply into my eyes and grinned "what a greedy little mouth you got"
I smiled at him dipping my fingers into his mouth, he licked them like a hungry puppy and sucked on them slowly.
"You are so shameless Grey"
"I can be more shameless than this" he grinned planting a wet kiss on my neck. "Because I love you so much"
He drove his shaft into me without warning, my eyes rolled back and I saw stars. The Earth was spinning pretty quick and the ecstasy was flushing all sanity down the drain. I wasn't thinking... No I couldn't think.
I opened my eyes Grey had his own shut, he groaned deeply then he started moving. His eyes held mine, staring intently as if he wanted to see my soul. His pace gradually increased and the room was filled with the moans groans and grunts of our love making. When we finally hit the climax, he trembled uncontrollably. He held me tightly as he hit his release and I followed shortly after shaking violently.
He collapsed on me and we were a mess, soaked in the moment shamelessly bare before each other.
He shifted to lay beside me trying to pull out but I stopped him.
"Let it stay there"
He lifted an eye brow and giggled.
"What?"
"It's still hard... I like it there"
"You have become so shameless"
I grinned at him, "I learnt from the best"
He kissed my forehead and grinned.
"I love you Mrs Grey"
I grinned back at him ruffling his hair.
"I love you, my husband"
He was so excited, he pulled me into his arms kissing me all over my face.
"I like that, sounds magical" he grinned beautifully.
"What should we do?"
"About what?"
"The dragon is still awake" I pointed down where we were joined.
"What do you think we should do?"
He grinned knowingly, I bit his ear and kissed his neck then whispered in his ears.
"Why don't you try being a little violent. like fuck my brain off until I can't stand anymore"
His length hardened even more and he leaked.
"You are tempting me, can you really handle it?"
"I don't know, unless we try it out and see"
He smirked showing off his fangs and blood red eyes. "This is not the entire thing" he warned his eyes turning black, so dark like the abyss "I will be in my fully shifted form, you will feel like you are fucking the devil"
"That is exactly what I want to see... And feel" I grinded against him and he groaned "and not here...
"What are you thinking? " He lifted a brow.
"In the cave... Where the night can witness"
"You're wild"
"Try Taming me"
He grinned pleasantly.
