I stepped out of the room gathering the jacket around me to keep myself warm. I didn’t need it, no one knew I didn’t. What was the use of telling them anyway? Would they believe me? They loved surprises more and I would deliver as easily as I am about to.
I walked into the council room, Steele and other elders were sitting around discussing something. They seemed surprised to see me, oh they should. This are the bastards who took pleasure in humiliating me. They thought I forgot? Or I was kind to let them go? Would I forgive them?
Maybe, maybe not. It will be considered by how I feel about it.
“Becky...
“Don’t call my name Steele, call me the Gala girl as you used to!”
His brows knitted in confusion, his looks were surprisingly amusing.
I smirked pulling a chair and sat down.
“Did I surprise you? I know you love surprises and am good at delivering don’t I deserve an applause?” I snapped my fingers, the whole council applauded.
“Bow!” They followed the order and bowed. My gaze was on Steele the whole time. He was getting uglier, his shocked expressions were not charming at all let alone his normal face.
“Submit brethrens” they went down on their knees and bowed.
“Sit down”
“Thank you master” they sat back.
I sighed bored.
“It is no fun at all, they don’t struggle or try to resist as you do. Should I try it with you?” His face darkened “don’t worry I wouldn’t do that to you, it is more mesmerising if you do it willingly. What do you think? It will be a sight to behold.”
“What are you doing? Why are you doing this?”
I laughed hysterically.
“Oh, I forgot, you are also dumb. My bad, I will tell you. Am walking out of here, I got some business to finish out there. Don’t think I am going to see my dad, that bastard I will kill him someday but not today. So sit tight when I get back I might reveal your little secret “
“What are you talking about?”
“Why did you support Keith to become the master of Flames coven?” I tilted my head, he didn’t show any emotions “you don’t know what I am talking about, mh?”
“Stop rumbling!”
“Ok, I will. Just enjoy while it lasts, when I get back I will put you to your rightful place!”
“I will not allow you to leave” he threatened. I smiled at him gently.
“Don’t worry, you will not be able to stop me just wait for five minutes I will be gone”.
He tried to move but he was not able to shift.
“Don’t waste it, you’ll tire your poor self for no reason.” I stood up gathering the jacket around me. “I promise I will be back, don’t worry too much. I can take good care of myself...uncle!”
I left the council room heading out to the exit, Jason was at the door.
“Where are you going?”
“Get me a bike”
His eyes widened for sometime then he laughed nervously.
“Yes, right away”
“Wait... Get me a bag too, six candles, a penknife, a lighter and anything that you think might be useful to me”
“Sure” he went back inside and I waited for him leaning against the limo parked at the entrance.
Jason walked back with a backpack and another soldier approached riding a bike.
He gave me the key and Jason passed me the bag.
“Thanks” I got on the bike pulling on the helmet and drove off.
A whole coven frozen in time. Dangerous? How was it dangerous for the night creatures, if only they were sensible creatures I wouldn’t have to hypnotize and stop time for them. Sadly a few of them were sensible and I adored them. I would not get them in trouble for my sake. I do rather do it alone, if I had to die at the end I would not be able to change my fate.
Or was it in my hands all along? Definitely not, if it were everything would be in its rightful place.
I used the ring to detect where I would go, it was a powerful ring. I got to know about it’s power when I spent so much time knowing, learning and interpreting the spell book.
I made a sharp U turn into the deep forest making my way through the trees and dense flora.
The rest of the way I went by foot, I reached a section with very few trees. Most of the plantation was vines, and an old barbed wire fence that was destroyed almost falling off. I walked around the old fense up to the small rusty metal gate . I made my way into the old cemetery, the tomb stones were even older than I had seen them when Flora brought me here. I looked around there were several more added, probably because I had brought a bunch of vampires back home.
Regina’s grave was next to an old grave stone that belongs to Dermot. I pulled off my bag, arranging the six candles around the grave I lit the candles before sitting down cross legged.
I didn’t know if it was going to work, reversing a spell after such a long time. A spell I didn’t know, will I be able to do it?
I didn’t have a room for failure, David was damn serious about wiping off the vampires, Regina was probably one of the royal blood as well. Having more royal bloods and higher ranked vampires together would strengthen their abilities to handle the Gala .
No doubt the Gala soldiers were strong, but there was no harm in trying to survive than not trying at all.
