Dom stared at me for too long then smiled before laughing lightly.
“Don’t tell me you want me to back off and spare those godamn vampires coming for us” he warned.
“You don’t have to back off, they are the ones who are backing off. The only thing I want you to do is free those innocent humans” I explained
“Am not doing that, you expect me to fall for your silly trap” he laughed it off.
“Dominic, Elia misses you a lot, she wants you back but she is not willing to forgive you. All I want is to unite the two of you and get over this damn misery you both are in and are not very willing to accept and get over” I rose from my seat walking around him bossily “all I want to do is work out a way to get all this rogues united and connected to one of the covens to avoid any more killing”
“You can’t do that, you are simply a mere vampire!”
I turned to look at him “Am not working alone, I have Flora by my side. Everyone is aware of her knowledge, right?” I raised a brow and he laughed walking over to me towering above me
“Becky, you are using the worst method to get an enemy to back off, it is not working. Bringing in people who disappeared from the face of the earth centuries ago!” he warned casually “Am not a fool, yes I might be regretting believing that crazy father of yours and used his means stupidly. But am not falling for the daughter’s traps as well!” he was dead serious. I stared at him before turning back to sit down.
“I may say there is a single thing that I dislike about you, and that is judging from the view of the people I am connected with. Something I can’t change. Dom, if I had the ability I could have changed my father to someone better. But I can’t Dom, it is what life is” I sighed staring at the tent distantly “in this life, I have learnt and encountered a lot, both wonderful and miserable. People say, if life gives you lemon, you make lemonade. I lived up to that, struggling to make this lemonade everyone talks about. Then I realized, instead of wasting time making lemonade, eat the lemon itself and move on!”
I looked back at Dom who was staring at me “Dom, don’t struggle making a mistake correct. Accept you made a mistake, accept you hurt people, accept you betrayed your people unknowingly and move on. Am willing to help you and the others get your footing and make amends. Not because it is my concern, but because I know what it feels like to be ignored and be walked over as if you mean nothing at all. That is how my own father treated me, and I don’t want the people you expect from the most to ignore you”
“Dom, I don’t want you to die nor Grey nor any other rogue present in this forest. David may plan another attack in future, if you fight we will reduce our population and that will be weakness for us and victory for him!” I walked up to him “Trust me Dom, I want to help you make amends, I want Elia to have a reason to smile again. Trust me and release those humans, if I fail you then I will offer myself to you and do to me as you please. Please trust me Dom”
We stayed in silence for a long time, he was staring at a distance as I was doing too. I gave him time to think keeping my distance to let him think without my intrusion.
“Let me make a fool out of myself for the last time and trust you. But am warning you Becky…if you dare…”
“You won’t regret it!” I assured him “Go ahead and carry out the necessary measures. Am assuming by the distance in place, they will be here late in the evening. I will have met with Flora and planned by then. As you leave find me my friend Clark. Don’t think too much, he is just a friend. I hope you won’t mind if I use your bathrooms” I watched his expression the whole time
“I don’t mind you using my bathrooms, am worried about this Clark though” he answered honestly
“Trust me Dom, going back on my words is the last thing I want to do in this enigmatic life of mine”
He huffed before leaving the tent. I stood there for some time looking at the spot Dom had disappeared through. Five minutes later Clark entered the chamber.
“You called me”
“I have managed to convince Dom to release the humans. Go and help him prepare the necessaries. I will summon Flora in a moment, I don’t know how I will do that but am pretty sure she is aware that I need her at the moment” I instructed authoritatively
“Okay, and please you can have the flute am pretty sure you will be leaving without me. It was nice having you around” he said handing me the flute. I smiled at him opening my arms as wide for a hug. He hugged me longer than I thought the hug would take. I understood him though, he would miss his mate whom he got to meet by chance without a soul.
He stepped back smiling apologetically “It’s okay go ahead”
“Okay” he nodded walking out of the tent.
I sighed looking at the golden- white flute in my hand. It was beautiful just like Regina! I went into the bathroom to clean up.
I sat on the bed after taking a shower and dressing up. It was eleven o’clock in the morning. The more time flew the closer Grey, Angelica and her mate got. I had no idea what I was to do or how I was supposed to call Flora over. I was stranded and confused unaware of what I was in and what I was supposed to do. I looked on, peeking through the holes on the tent to check on what was happening outside.
Everyone was busy, preparing for the coming war, a minibus came over and carried the hypnotized humans away as I had instructed. Dom was keeping his part of the promise, well while I was…. I had no idea of how I was supposed to keep my own.
Dom was busy giving instructions to the other vampires, shifting things and making strategies. The more I watched the anxious and guilty I got. I sat on the bed again for the umpteenth time hands sweating. I decided to comb the long hair I had messed while taking a bath. I was getting annoyed with it when it tangled ad became hard to comb because of anxiety. I threw the comb to the ground growling angrily.
I kept thinking and getting more and angrier and falling out of control as each second passed by. Dom was busy out there and time was moving. I had broken a lot of his future when I was unable to control myself. I tried reading the literatures present in his cupboard but I couldn’t see. I was going crazy with everything that sneaked into my mind.
Wasn’t Flora superior? Why isn’t she showing up to tell me what I should do instead of sitting somewhere knowing I was just a human with a few abilities here and there? Why did she send me?
I was busy thinking and getting angry when Dom showed up in front of me.
“You ready?” he asked in a serious tone.
“She will be here in no time, take your positions and wait for them to show up then Flora is going to play her part”
He stared at me for some time as if contemplating on what decision to make. I smiled at him sheepishly then he teleported away.
I sank on the seat next to me sighing deeply. What an annoying little monster I became.

7:55 pm
I was still walking here and there confused, whenever Dom showed up I would simply tell him that Flora was about to get here while I hadn’t even reached out to her or even had an idea of what to do.
The howling of wolves announced the arrival of the two covens. They surrounded the camp entirely, the rogues were standby as well. The two leaders of the two parties were to meet up first, talk and if they wouldn’t come into agreement the fight will break out. It was quite obvious no agreement was going to be made here. This was treason committed and the law had come to take its course
I tried calling Flora, closing my mind up and seeking her scent tried mind linking which wouldn’t work obviously because of distance. I tried everything that came to mind but nothing worked.
It seems, I will have to walk out there and speak sense into the two or three gentlemen. I picked my daggers then a growl sounded somewhere within me. This is the same growl I heard when I was fighting with Adelyn! As I peeked through the opening on the tent I spotted Grey and Dom walking towards each other. Eyes bloody red, furious and gloriously looking under the moonlight.
The wind was strong, the night quiet and panic filled the air. This was bad. I watched Grey’s massive figure emerge from the shadows, he was as tall and as big as Dom. Their beauty was incomparable. The difference was Dom looked like a prince charming while Grey looked dangerously tempting. Dom’s night black hair waved in the wind adding up to how dangerous he looked, his steps were sure and daring. Grey on the other hand looked annoyed and bored, Angelica and her mate followed a meter behind him looking…relaxed and not bothered at all. Those two were so strange, did anything ever seem serious to them?
I held my breath as they halted a few inches in front of each other. Grey smirked while Dom just gave him a serious face.
“The trouble maker…” Grey begun staring into Dom’s eyes and smirked “you surely know how to stir up trouble or should I say, you are a profession in that matter”
“What do you expect from a rogue like me? Adrian?” lord in heaven save Dom from his wrath. Those who were with Grey looked at each other. The guy doesn’t know Grey hates the name and instead decided to take his brother’s name.
“It seems you so far behind, this is not Adrian you’re talking to. It is rather Dermot Grey!” he corrected looking irritated.
“Had no idea brother’s share names too” Dom scoffed.
“Don’t stir me up yet it your stupidity that sent him to his casket!” Grey warned dangerously. Dom pressed his lips in a thin line.
“So, have you accepted taking me in and my men or we are slicing some bodies and leave the strong one alive” Dom demanded.
“You are going nowhere Dom, you are dying in my hands and those humans are going back to where they belong” Grey retorted
“And what if I told that I have already dried those humans’ veins and buried them? You can look around if you like. None was spared!” Dom shot back daringly.
“What a beast you became!” Grey spat disgustedly
“That wasn’t beastly! I haven’t shown you the beast in me yet!” Grey snorted at his threat as if it was no big deal.
“So, what if you are not allowed to be connected to any coven? Are you going to betray us by involving the humans?” Grey questioned casually brushing his hair back before folding his hands over his chest giving Dom a bored look.
“If that is what I have to do then I will… let me in, I leave the humans out of the picture. Refuse and am getting the humans involved!”
“Disgusting!” Grey huffed “You are only going to do that if…” Grey’s eyes darkened dangerously “You are getting out of here alive! Get this rogues done with!” he yelled stepping closer to Dom.
Then in a blink of a second they begun fighting. I need to get out there and stop this. I had just set foot outside the tent when my shoulder was grabbed roughly then I was pulled into the shadows before I was teleported into a dark forest looking similar to the black forest.
I turned around cautiously to meet Flora’s golden eyes.
“It is too late!” I whispered.
“Not yet, leaders fight first before the follower do. Right now it is Grey and Dom tearing each other apart” she explained searching for something around.
“What are we going to do?” I asked anxiously
“Getting you out of that body and sending it back to the casket. Then am going to bond you to all those rogues, you will be their master as Ari is under Grey. It is the only option we have!” I looked at her as if she had grown a second nose, seriously?
“Am a helpless human, they can kill me and kill them as well Flora. Am a nobody to them so getting rid of me won’t be such a big deal”
“Who told you that you are a human, and who said you are going to die? And you think Grey will allow that?” she inhaled sharply “Anyway let us finish this up before those two tear each other apart!”
“Are you sure, Flora?” I asked her, she smiled placing her hand on my shoulder, before I knew it, Regina’s body slumped on the ground the flute that I had tied to my belt beside her.
“Take her along with the flute” I whispered.
She nodded in return then Regina disappeared from the ground.
She grabbed my hand before blindfolding me. I was tied onto a tree with her magic. I could barely move or even shift an inch.
“What are you doing?” I asked anxiously
“You don’t have to know.” She paused for a moment her hand on my chest “just be patient when you will be waiting for them to come back!”
I didn’t understand what she meant before a piercing pain shot through my chest splitting me apart. I scream as loud as I could tears brimming in my eyes. The pain was making me crazy. The pain shot down to the pit of my stomach twisting violently I scream till my throat went soar. It ceased for a moment, I thought it was over before a sharp pain struck from beneath my feet shooting through my stomach, heart and throat -chocking me. It shot up to my head more painful than the previous time. An agonizing scream split through my throat as I trembled violently falling to the ground unconscious!
