It has been a week since Laura was born and Jim was already taking a toll but Claire was fine ,between college, training and being a mom she was doing alot better than Jim "Aww, come on baby girl please stop crying..... what am I doing wrong?" Jim said feeling helpless with Laura in his arms she had been crying for about a hour and wouldn't stop ,Claire walked into the nursery and sighed "Jim ? What's wrong?" "Laura won't stop crying " Claire could hear something was off and went to help him "Try singing to her ,she loves it " Jim pulled a face but gave it his all and sang a lullaby soon Laura was calming down ,Claire started to sing with Jim and Laura fell asleep in no time. They put her back in her crib and walked to their room ,feeling very aggravated Jim trough a pillow against the wall "Jim what is your problem?" Claire said trying not to wake Laura "My problem is that I can't even get my own daughter to sleep by myself what kind of father does that make me ?" He sat on the bed a rubed his forehead "I just...I just want to be a better dad then mine was." They soon lyd on the bed ,Claire's head was on Jim's chest"How do you do it?" "Do what ?" Claire asked and raised her head a bit "You know ,how do you handle it all ,the baby, college, training, ceeping the house under control and planning the wedding?" "Well I had alot of practice " "When?" "Baby sitting Enrique and Not Enrique, high school, homework, being possessed by Morgana,the Romeo and juliet play and about several other things " Jim was actually speechless, he never really thought of how Claire handled everything when they were 16 "Wow, geuss you are the bad ass in the family " Jim laughed and Laura started to cry again "I'll get her .." Jim said and walked to her room, few seconds later he came back with Laura and put her on the bed with them, after a bunch of rocking back and forth she fell asleep in between Claire and Jim, "What did I do to deserve this?" Jim though looking at Claire and Laura that was asleep, Laura was holding one of Claire's fingers aswell as one of Jim's " This feels like a dream ,I got a beautiful, loving and brave fiance and a beautiful baby girl, If it is a dream I wish I never wake up " Jim said to himself "Once upon a dream, you were asleep " Claire said and gave him a small fright "Fine I'll go to sleep" "Good ,you'll thank me later " Claire said giving Jim her one hand ,he gave it a kiss "You know I will always love you ,right?" "And I will love you always and forever James Lake Jr♡" "And I will love you for infinity ♡" Jim said and fell asleep looking at his future wife and his baby girl.
