SCREAMS FILLED THE HOUSE CAUSING THE YOUNG BRUNETTE TO SPRING FROM THE BED WITH FEAR FLOWING INTO HER BODY. A shiver ran down her spine from the cold drifting in through the open window. Her arms curled around her body, which was only covered in an old t-shirt and shorts, while she took a step towards her closed door. She gulped, cautiously opening the door to the empty hallway. The floor creaked beneath her bare feet as took steps towards the balcony that overlooked the foyer.

Her breath hitched in her throat at the sight before her. A cry ripped from her throat. Her knees shook underneath her while she clung to the railing of the balcony. Her mind stilled, but her body moved for her towards the horrible sight that befall. She turned away as her dinner threatened to come up her throat. She shook her head as more tears slide down her face.

She didn't want to turn back around because that meant what she was seeing was real.

Her parents bodies covered in blood with a knife sticking out of her mother's chest.

It took everything inside of the girl to turn around and face the nightmare. She shook her head and her lip trembled. "Mom?" She whispered, moving to her knees in front of her mother's body.

Her hands hovered above the body moving from above the knife to her mother's face, where blood covered hair stick to it. She brought the back of her hands up to mouth as more sobs left her mouth. "Mom. Please, wake up! Just open your eyes." She plead before finally settling her hands on the sides of her mother's face.

"Just open your eyes."

The brunette's eyes glanced at the knife in her mother's chest and with rage she yanked the knife out and threw it across the room screaming. She cradled her mother in her arms rocking her dead body.

"Please, wake up. Wake up. I need you. I can't do this....please, wake up." She begged, desperately.

There was nothing that would be able to bring her mother back. She knew that, but it stop her from pleading with what cosmic force to bring back her parents.

"I'll do whatever you want. I'll be better. I just.....just wake up. Don't leave me. Please. Please, don't leave me."

She could hear sirens in the background as the arrive to the home, but she couldn't move. She was frozen in her spot with her dead mother in her arms while the doorway was kicked open and officers flooded in. Lights flashed in the background and the officers were yelling at her, but it all seemed so distant.

Her eyes stayed locked on her mother's body while the officer forced her off the ground and dragged her away without any struggle. The tried to get her to talk about the incident, but there were no words that come to her head to even began to able to talk about what had happened. Her parents were both dead leaving her an orphan.

It had only been a couple hours since she saw them alive and well. Now they were just two people in black body bags being dragged away.

Neighbors watched the tragic scene unfold before their eyes. They watched the daughter sit in the back of the ambulance with blood covering her frame. Blood of her parents. She furiously tried to wipe the blood away, but it didn't work. She noticed the people coming out of their quite and safe homes. She saw their stares.

They looked at her as she if was a monster. She knew just by the way that everyone was looking at her. All of them thought she had did this. That she was the person who killed her parents. It filled her with rage to know they thought they had a right to think that when she was just a child who had lost her parents.

None of them had ever cared or given a thought to the family before. It was just a house they passed on their work of school. A place they knew housed a wealthy family. A family that was conceited and only associated with people of their own wealth. Everyone knew it that family had their secrets. That there was more to their innocent image. That night was the first time that the smoke scene the family produced had fallen. People got to see the true image of the family. They knew it was the secrets that the parents held that got them killed.  It was a matter of time before those same secrets would consume their children too.

Her clothes were ripped and had mud covering them. The birds chirped in the distance of the old woods. The trees blocked any sight of the sun; there was no way to tell which way to a town. The darkness swayed throughout the tall abstract trees; working its way toward the girl; wanting to consume her as they had others that night. After the horrific night, everyone had assumed that the 15 year old could be capable of murder. Everywhere Lily went she was labeled a murderer. Her brother turned into something she never wanted. He was different. Jake looked at her with the same look as everyone else had. He said things that would never make sense to the girl, "You have a destiny and one day you'll understand why this has happened." The day after he tragically hung himself.

The police tried to find any piece of evidence they could, to prove Lily guilty for the deaths of her family. They had no proof, but neglected to believe Lily innocent. She ran till she ended up in a forest with the full moon shining high above. Her eyes came face to face with the crimson eyes of creature filled with rage. She backed away not wanting to make the thing angrier. She fell into a pit of mud, her clothes becoming even more disgusting then they already were. She scrambled off the ground and continued running until she ran right into the arms of a small town sheriff. That night in the forest, Lily's life changed forever. And it was debatable whether it was for the better or the worse.
