It's there. Lily could always feel it. It had gotten stronger since that night at the Hale house with Peter. Since she truly embraced the thing she was for the first time. Everything had changed after that. She could deny the fact that it was inside of her. That every second of every day it was trying to consume her. And one day it would.
One day she wouldn't be able to hold the darkness off.
It would take her over.
No matter how hard she tried to stop it. It would only come back stronger. It had been stronger ever since that night. Each time there was even a flicker of purple in her eyes, it threatened to take over. So, Lily vowed to never transform into what she ever again. She wouldn't let it take her. She didn't care about the price she'd pay for it.
She refused to become the monster inside her.
"I'm don't want to go."
Stiles looked at her sadly. "We don't want you to go either." He replied. "But there's not much we can do that we haven't already done." Lily sighed as she picked up her duffle bag.
"It's only for a bit, right?" She responded. "How bad could it be?"
"Uh..."
"Don't answer that." Lily ordered.
Stiles nodded, pushing his bottom lip under his top lip. "Don't kill him? No matter how bad it is. I really wouldn't want them to kill you for killing one of theirs." He stated. Lily chuckled and nodded.
"I won't despite how much I want to."
Stiles pulled Lily into a hug. His head rested on top of hers. "Be careful. We don't know how they'll be with a supernatural creature in their house." He ordered. Lily nodded against his chest. He kissed the top of her head before pulling away.
"I'll be careful." She promised.
She threw her duffle bag over her shoulder and walked with Stiles to the stairs. As the approached the top, she glared at the figure standing at the bottom. He was talking with Noah about the arrangements that were occurring. The two glanced up at the teenagers, who descended the stairs.
Lily stepped off the bottom step and looked at Chris Argent. She glared before turning to Noah. She hugged him tightly, and he chuckled. "Thank you. I couldn't have asked for a better person to take me in." She whispered. "I couldn't have asked for a better father."
