Life can change in the blink of an eye. A hundredth of a second and everything can be gone. Ripped away from a person. Lily had her entire family stolen from her. She had her memories destroyed. Every fiber of her being was being changed because of one act. One thing she was forced to do.
Kill an innocent person.
She murdered Jess. She took away someone's daughter just as her family was taken away from her. She became the one thing she hated. The one thing she had sought out in the last year to destroy. She was finally a murderer like everyone thought she was. They had all been right. While it took a year to happen, it happened.
She was losing the battle that had started the moment she arrived in Beacon Hills.
"We need to talk about it." Scott stated.
Lily shook her head as she stomped through the woods. She was pulled to a stop as Scott grabbed her arm. She spun around to face him with annoyed look. "What's there to talk about Scott?" She yelled.
"How about everything that's happened in the past 24 hours?"
Lily ran a hand through her hair. She huffed, her hands slapping against her thighs. "Okay, fine. You want to talk. Yes, I killed my best friend from growing up. I burned her and turned her body to ash to the point she can't be recognized. I was in some trance with Jackson, and then didn't remember it."
"Then, I tried to kill my boyfriend. The one person that has stood by me through this. And, yes, Scott, I liked it. I liked trying to kill you! I felt powerful! I felt unstoppable! I don't want the feeling to stop!" She exclaimed.
"What else do you want me to say?" She yelled.
"I want you to work it out with me instead of pushing it off. You keep putting off all of your problems. Eventually, that's all going to come rushing back and you won't be able to push it away. She controlled you, Lily. We need to know how."
"Oh my god." Lily huffed. She turned away and continued to trough through the woods. "It's not like she's just going to tell us. In fact, half of things she's done doesn't make any sense. I'm beginning to question who's good and who's bad." She shouted.
"Then let me help." Scott called out.
Lily stopped and spun around to face the werewolf. "Don't you get it? I don't want help! I don't want to be the sad defenseless girl anymore! I keep trying to get away from It, and then I just keep getting more and more broken. I'm done, Scott!" She yelled.
