Greece ~ 1555
Lilith checked behind her multiple times as she checked for anyone following her. She picked up the ends of her dress as she carefully crossed an old bridge. She made her way through the tall green trees until she spotted what she was looking for.
A smile appeared on her face once the waterfall came into view. It was so beautiful and mesmerizing to watch as the water fell from above and splashed into the glowing water. She saw him sitting on the stone engrave seat feet away from the edge of the pond. She made her way over and sat beside him.
"No one saw you?" He questioned.
"Of course not." She insured. "I'm very intelligent."
He grinned at her. "I don't doubt that."
She smiled as she looked into his brown puppy do eyes. He put his hand on her cheek and slowly leaned in until their lips touched. She leaned into the kiss. She was as happy as she had ever been. The two pulled away with grins on their faces.
"Plus, my parents are too busy dealing with the wedding to worry about me." She stated. His eyes fell to the ground at the mention of her betrothal. She put her finger under his chin causing him to meet her eyes. "I hate this as much as you do. I love you so much more."
"I love you too." He responded. With his hand cupped around her cheeks he pulled her into a passionate kiss. Their lips maneuvered with each other. He tugged at bottom lip as her fingers pulled at his hair.
They were out of breath once they finally pulled away. She leaned her forehead against his. "Neither of us want to marry each other. Jackson is in love with Lydia, and I am in love with you. I only want to be with you." She remarked.
"As do I, Lilith. I want to run away with you and live a life together."
"On a farm," She suggested. "Where you do the labor and teach our son; as I teach our daughter the way of being a lady. We would never be bothered and able to love one another."
She giggled at the wonderful thought. "So let's do it." He announced. Her eyebrows scrunched at his suggest. She gaped at him for the thought. "I don't want a life of royalty or do you, so let's run away. Be in love and have a normal life."
Lilith shook her head in disbelief. "What would we tell our parents? We can't just leave." She replied.
"I know, but I'm hopelessly in love with you, Lilith." He responded. "I want to be with you forever. I don't care about what others think. I want love, not money and power." He grabbed a hold of both of her hands. Lilith's gaze flickered from them back to Scott. "I love you."
