Greece ~ 1554

All eyes turned to look at the princess as she descended the grand staircase in the beautiful dress. No one could take their eyes off of her despite how hard they tried. She was enticing. Her hand settled in her father's, and her shoes hit the solid marble floor. The father and daughter took the center of the room as they began to dance to the waltz.

It was tradition for the father and daughter to start off the dancing. She was soon to be given to another for marriage. Tonight was the night she was meant to find that person she's spend her life with. Princes from around the world had come to try and gain her hand in marriage, but she was picky.

She didn't want to give away her heart to anyone. She wanted to marry for love, but in her times that was difficult. A princess wasn't to marry for love, but political reasons. If it had to better her country, at least, it would be with someone that treated her correctly.

The princess curtsied in front of her father as their part came to an end. Her mother approached the two with a handsome gentlemen. He bowed in front of her before holding out his hand. "May I take your hand in a dance, Princess?"

She nodded, allowing him to lead the two. "What's your doing here, sir?" She questioned. People had begun to take their place on the dance floor around them. However, most eyes were still on the princess and the man she danced with.

"I'm dancing with the beautiful Princess Lilith," He answered. Lilith smiled at his comment. "I'm looking for a bride. I'm Jackson of France, your lady." Lilith tilted her head in intrigue. She had heard stories of the prince. He was known for courting several women.

"Thee Prince Jackson." She stated. "A sight of the eyes in person. It's a palpable pleasure to meet you. I've heard many things of you and your kingdom." He smiled at her.

"Good things I hope?"

She chuckled. "Of course."

"I hear you are looking for husband." He remarked. She sighed at his statement. "You are upset at this statement. You do not want a husband?"

"I want that of love not arrangement." She answered. "A man who will honor and respect me as a equal to his own. That won't occur due to the disgrace of women in our times, but I hope to change that. My family holds women above men, and I will continue that once I become queen."

"Women aren't meant to be above men. It is the way of god." He retorted.

"That is what you can appear to think, but I do not agree." She responded. "Marriage is meant to be of love. You should follow your heart and what you want. Don't chase for a women to gain their power. Especially, when that women has more power than you."
