Lily threw another piece of clothing into the duffle bag before zipping it up. A knock came from her door, and she looked up to where Stiles was standing in her doorway. "Hey." She greeted.

"Hi. I just want to see how you were doing." Stiles stated.

"I'm good." She answered. "As long as I don't think about the fact that my boyfriend, who's a werewolf, nearly killed me because he lost control due to the Alpha werewolf that was trying to kill us in the school, but yeah, I'm fine."

Stiles pressed his lips together and nodded. "So not find at all."

Lily stopped what she was doing and look at the buzzed cut boy. "Seriously?" She questioned.

"Sorry." He apologized. He rocked on his feet before taking a step towards the brunette, who now had the duffle bag thrown over her shoulder. "I actually wanted to say bye before you left and before I get Scott drunk because you broke up with him."

Lily rolled her eyes. "Firstly, I didn't break up with him, technically. I just need time. And second, thanks."

"You sure you're up for this. That still looks..." Stiles trailed off, pointing to his head and neck. Lily reached up to touch the bandage on her forehead.

"Yeah, I'll be okay. It's just a simple trip back to the house my family was killed in. No big deal." Lily remarked. Stiles face fell, he looked worried. Lily sighed, brushing a piece of hair behind her hair. She still forwards till she was in front of Stiles. "I will be okay. Trust me? The first moment I don't feel okay, I'll tell Noah, and we'll leave." Lily promised.

"You better."

Lily stared out the window of the car as they passed the 'Welcome to Carson City' sign. She watched the trees pass by them and the familiar buildings she grew up with. A large smile appeared on her face as they drove past a lake.

Noah looked over at her to check she was doing fine. "You good?" He asked. Lily tore her eyes from their surroundings to look at the Sheriff.

She nodded. "Yeah. It feels weird to be back. I ran from this place because of all the horrible memories and the darkness that surrounded it, but I forgot about the good memories. The ones I should cherish." Lily explained.

"I get it." He replied

Lily didn't have to ask or say anything to know it was about his wife's death. Stiles mother. Stiles had tile her that his dad went down a dark path afterwards. He understood the pain Lily had felt and that's most likely why he was able to help through it so well.
