After getting home from the incident at the school, Lily realized she had yet to read the letter that was sent to her. She stood outside of the Stilinski home with the letter in her hand. Lily let out a deep and sat on the cold ground. She didn't know how long she had been out there staring at the piece of paper.
A hand touched her shoulder causing Lily to look up where Stiles was staring down at her. "Hey." He greeted. He took a seat beside her on the ground.
"Hey." She replied. Her voice was raspy due to not having talked for a large amount of time. Her eyes moved from the letter to Stiles. "I'm afraid. I don't want to open it." She admitted. Stiles looked up to see the tears in her eyes.
He nodded before taking the letter from her hands. He slowly unfolded the letter to where the writing could be scene. He looked at here to make sure she wanted him to do it. She nodded, and Stiles grabbed her hand. She smiled, squeezing his hand.
"My wonderful daughter,
If you're reading this, then I must be gone. I know you have grown into a incredible, strong, and brave women. I know you miss me, but you don't need me to be the person I know you are. You never have needed me because who you are is inside you. It's in your heart and it will always be there. I'm so sorry that I left you before I could explain the truth to you. But, there was people looking at for you. They will help you through this journey."
Stiles stopped to look at Lily, who had tears falling down her face. She brought her hand to her mouth and let out a shaky breath. "She knew. She knew she was going to die." Stiles nodded beside her. Lily wiped the tears despite knowing they'd still come. "Go on."
Stiles looked at Lily to make sure she was okay before he continued. "You need to run and get out of this town. Go to Beacon Hills. Find Derek Hale. He'll know who you are. You'll help you, and he'll explain everything when the time is right. Stay away from Kyle. He's going to come for something, and he won't stop until he gets it."
"Lily. I love you with all my heart. Everything I have ever done in my life was to protect you. You are going to learn things that will make you hate me. Please remember I was only trying to protect you. I don't want your future to turn out like its supposed to. I know you will achieve what you were born to do."
"Please, no matter what don't take off the necklace I gave you. It will protect you. Just as those I've entrusted to do will. They will come at certain times in your life that you need them, but they will teach you and protect you."
