You know that place where you've always wanted to go? Now, imagine being there, buuuuuut only to save a grumpy sour wolf. Exactly, I didn't came to Mexico to catch the sun and show off my new maxi shirt. Lydia, Stiles and I walked onto a square and looked around. It was cute, loads of people and some little shops, it seemed nice. 'This doesn't seem so bad.' Stiles said clapping his hands together. 'It's not the town it's the plan.' Lydia sighed. 'Hey, I helped thinking off this plan, what's wrong with it?' I asked fake offended. She looked at me with raised eyebrows. 'Sammy, this could've been the stupidest plan you've helped figure out so far. You're aware of that right?' She asked me. 'She's aware it's not our best.' Stiles shrugged and I glared a little. I can speak for myself. 'We are going to die.' Lydia said and I rolled my eyes. 'You're not gonna die, if you were, wouldn't you know?' I winked and started walking again. 'Are you saying that as a banshee or are you just being pessimistic?' I heard Stiles asked Lydia behind me. 'I'm saying it as a person who doesn't wanna die.' She replied and I turned around to face them. 'Touché amigo, touché.' I grinned. 'Is that supposed to be a mixture of French and Spanish?' Stiles asked. I shrugged. 'Both teachers say I need to practise more so... Anyway, Lydia, please keep the "we're going to die" talk for when you're feeling bashee-ish. Thanks.' I told her. She walked past me with a smile. 'This plan is stupid and we're going to die.' She said. I threw my hands up in the air. 'Thank you!' I called after her. It was getting slightly darker when we walked into an alley, why couldn't this party be somewhere less creepy? There were random people sitting on chairs and on the ground looking at us oddly. We stopped in front of a door with two men standing in front of us. They immediately blocked the entrance. 'Okay Sammy, time to practise your Spanish.' Stiles muttered. 'Hell no, not with these bimbo's...' I shot back. Lydia rolled her eyes and spoke some words in Spanish, the only word I got was fiesta. One of the guys smiled a fake smile and shook his head. Stiles reached into his back pocket and got out a picture which he showed to the man. His face dropped and he looked up to the camera. I followed his gaze and took the photo from Stiles showing it to the camera, and whoever was behind it watching us. There immediately was a buzzing sound and the door opened which I hope meant we could go inside. The men stepped aside and let us pass. We stepped into the hallway and walked towards a big door, the closer we got to the door, the louder the music got. Stiles opened the door and I smile creeped onto my face. 'These people know how to party!' I yelled over the music. 'We're not here to party though Sammy! We're here for Derek, remember?' Stiles replied. I shrugged. 'Derek would want me to party.' I said making Stiles roll his eyes. 'Let's just give her one drink to make her happy.' Lydia shrugged and I clapped my hands jumping up and down like a little kid. I dragged them both to the bar. Without even asking the waiter placed three shots on the table. Lydia and Stiles looked at each other with a raised eyebrow. Stiles reached for his wallet but a man appeared behind us stopping us. 'No, on the house.' He said with a strong accent. 'Most American teenagers don't cross the border to refuse a drink.' He told us when we didn't touch the drinks. 'We didn't come to drink.' Lydia replied calmly. I chuckled. 'I did!' I grinned and threw my head back pouring the strong liquid into my mouth. I placed my glass on the table again and Lydia threw a bullet case in my empty glass. The bullet with the skull on it. The man raised his eyebrow. 'I see. Let's go.' He said and led us away from the party into a quieter hallway. We entered a room with an elderly looking woman sitting behind a desk. 'Sit, sit.' She told us with a smile. We did as she asked. 'Severo hates this music. Me? I've always loved the music of youth. This kind especially, it has a savage energy.' She said. 'We're here for Derek Hale.' Lydia spoke and the woman smiled at us. 'Is that so?' She asked us. 'We know you have him lady.' I sighed placing my elbows on my knees and resting my head on my hands. 'Give us the sour wolf.' I said. She didn't respond. Lydia nudged my side and I sighed. Waist of money. 'We've heard you can be bought.' I said and Stiles started placing the money on the table. 'That's 50 000 for Derek.' He said. 'Now, where does a teenage boy gets money like this? Japanese mafia?' The woman asked Stiles. I heard a gun being loaded behind us. I smiled. 'He robbed a bank, mafia isn't really our thing.' I shrugged. Another gun was being loaded. 'Not smart to come alone.' The woman smiled. 'What makes you think we came alone?' Stiles asked and her eyes widened. 'You brought a wolf into my home?' She asked us angrily. 'No ma'am, we brought two.' I said flashing my eyes yellow. 'And it gets better, the other ones an alpha.' I smirked. The woman with the gun jumped up and pointed the gun at my head but the woman sitting in front of us held up her hand. She stood up and turned around. 'My friends, I don't think you're aware of your poor timing.' She said as she looked out of the window. 'Do you know what the dark moon is?' She asked us. 'The part of a lunar phase when the moon is least visible in the sky.' Lydia said again being a total smartass. That girl needs a Nobel prize. 'But do you know its meaning?' The woman asked. 'Some people say it's a time a reflection, or grief...' Lydia replied. 'Grief and loss, mija. I wonder why, when you and your friends have suffered so much loss, you would risk it again for someone like Derek Hale.' She said. I lowered my head. 'I owe him...' I muttered. 'Sorry darling, what was that?' The woman asked. I looked up again and looked her straight in the eyes. 'I owe him my life. He saved mine once. Yes, I would risk it again, I would for Derek.' I told her. A voice sounded through a radio saying the front door and the south were clear. Severo tried to reach the other guy to ask about the north but there was no response. At least not from him. 'Stiles, take ten off the table.' My brother's voice sounded. Stiles reached out his hand and grabbed the money putting it back in his pocket. 'Maybe you should just take the deal.' Lydia said. 'While I am keen to follow the warning of a banshee, I'm going to have to decline.' She replied and Stiles sighed next to me. 'Oh come on just give us Derek! You don't want him anyway! Haven't you noticed what a downer he is? No sense of humour, poor conversationalist, just come on take the money.' He said. 'We're practically doing you a favor here! You'd be glad to have him gone! No joke, he can ruin your whole mood within 5 seconds.' I assured her. The woman grabbed the radio. 'Severo, show them how the Calaveras negotiate.' She said. I frowned a little. 'How exactly do you negotiate?' I asked carefully. The words hadn't fully left my mouth when a burning feeling came creeping up my throat, cutting off my airways. My hand reached form my throat and I gasped falling from the chair onto the ground. 'Sammy?' Lydia exclaimed. The woman's eyes widened and she got up from her seat. 'No puedo creerlo...' She muttered and reached for the radio again. 'Severo, it's them. The McCall twins.'
