Caroline Forbes had been beaming non stop since winning Miss Mystic Falls, and Brooke did not think she had ever rolled her eyes quite so much as she did in the past few days. She was glad to see her sister so happy, but it was slightly tiring when Caroline wore her new sash everywhere in town.
The only reason she hadn't worn it to school that day was because Brooke had literally pulled it off her when she got in the car, and chucked it out the window right before their mother started to drive.
However, Caroline still had responsibilities which now included planning this year's Miss Mystic float for the annual Founders Day parade.
Founders Day was the biggest day in Mystic Falls since it was a celebration of the town's history, and so the parade took over the entire town for the whole day.
So, there was no school the day before since the school was busy preparing for the big parade as well. Currently, Bonnie, Caroline, Brooke and a few of the cheerleading girls were in the cafeteria planning the float.
"Alright show me" Bonnie said to Caroline
"Let's reference last year Miss Mystic float" she typed a few words on her computer and then turned it around to show Bonnie and her sister "This is what they did last year and it is exactly what we don't want to do"
Brooke laughed "Okay, so what are we doing instead?"
"Southern classic elegance" she answered
Both girls gave her reproachful looks. "Gone with the Wind?"
"So true!" she smiled, causing both Bonnie and Brooke to roll their eyes. "Where's Elena? She's supposed to be helping"
The girls glanced around to try catch sight of her, but she was nowhere to be seen, which was odd since they had agreed to all meet to do this. Bonnie shrugged "I don't know"
Brooke raised an eyebrow "Okay, what's the deal?"
"What do you mean?" replied Bonnie innocently
Across from her Caroline rolled her eyes "Don't play dumb. You and Elena are fighting. Spill!"
She shook her head "It's nothing"
At that both girls snorted. "It's not nothing. You know this whole float is supposed to be about friends creating something together and everyone is fighting. Matt and Tyler hate each other, you and Elena are on the out and I don't like it! And I can't fix it if I don't know what's wrong" complained Caroline
"Whoa hang on what's happening with Matt and Tyler?" asked Brooke
Her sister gasped loudly "Oh my god I forgot to tell you! Okay so after Vicki died his mother came to town and she made out with Tyler"
