After Brooke's kidnapping, she had kind of been hoping to rest for a day. However, Elena had other plans. The girls were going to try and speak to Katherine and find out what she had to do with Rose, but even that plan was interrupted by Stefan messaging both of them and asking them both to come over before school.
"What is this about?" Brooke asked as he led them both into the study
And in there, to both of their surprises was Rose. "You" Elena ground out
Stefan raised his hands "She's here to help. She says she has information about the originals."
Elena frowned "But Elijah's dead"
"Elijah isn't the threat anymore" she said "Elijah was a puppy in comparison to another vampire, one who will want you more than anything. Klaus" The two shared a glance. They didn't know if they could trust her, but she was the only person who seemed willing to share anything, so, reluctantly, the pair sat down on the sofa and let her explain "Okay, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and what's not true. It's the problem with all this vampire crap but Klaus, I know he's real"
"Who is he?" asked Brooke
"He's one of the originals, he's a legend" replied Damon
She glared at him "I wasn't asking you"
The last person she wanted to be around right now was Damon after she had told him she cared about him and then they argued. So, sitting in his study was her idea of hell really.
Pointedly, she turned to Stefan who added "From the first generation of vampires"
"Like Elijah" said Elena
Rose shook her head "No. Elijah was the Easter Bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal"
"Klaus is known to be the oldest" said Stefan
Elena shook her head "Okay, so you're saying that the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after me?"
In unison, Rose and Stefan replied;
"Yes"
"No"
Both of them glared at each other. Clearly, Stefan wanted to protect her, but Rose had other ideas.
Awkwardly, Damon interrupted. "What they're saying is, I mean if what she's saying is true-"
"-Which it is" argued Rose
He rolled his eyes "And you're saying it so I don't kill you"
"Which I'm not" she retorted
"Then we're looking at a solid maybe" he finished, shrugging
Stefan sighed "Look, Elijah's dead, right? So no one else even knows that you exist"
