"How could you choose him?"
"Because he was the only person who ever chose me"
Brooke Forbes had lived in Mystic Falls her whole life, and had been the 'It Girl' of the town since she was young. Her life had been perfect in every way. Until, one acc...

Katherine and Brooke had been together basically non stop for the past few days, and surprisingly Katherine had actually been a really big help to the newbie. She had taught her how to control her compulsion, and how to snatch - eat - erase.
It had been hard at first for Brooke to learn control over her bloodlust, and whenever she fed she felt like she could drink forever.
Katherine was trying to help her through it, but it was a struggle every vampire had to endure.
Today the pair were supposed to head out of town, but as she was grabbing her bag to leave she got a phone call.
"Hello?" she said as she answered
"Brooke" came Tyler's voice, relief flooding it. "What are you doing right now?"
Brooke frowned. "Nothing, why?"
He sighed. "I really need to talk to someone right now. There's just some stuff going on and I can't talk to my mom or Mason about it. Could you come over here? You're kind of the only person I want to talk to about this right now"
Tyler was never a really emotional or vulnerable person, so for him to sound so desperate was really alarming to Brooke.
"Yeah of course" she said "I'll be there in 10"
She hung up on the call and shot off a text to Katherine letting her know she couldn't meet, before she got in her car and drove off to the Lockwood property.
She had barely turned off her engine before the front door to the house opened and out came Tyler. "Hey" he said in relief "Thanks for coming"
"Of course" she replied "What's up?"
Tyler cast a glance over his shoulder at his house. "Um, come with me. I'd rather talk further away from the house"
Brooke had no idea why he wanted to be outside, but she had a feeling it wasn't good. If he was so desperate to talk out of earshot, and was this vulnerable, then clearly whatever was going on was bad.
However, she didn't press it just yet and followed him out. He continuously glanced at the house to make sure they weren't being watched or listened to, and took her far out towards the lake.
There was a bench on the far side of it, which he took her to, and they finally sat down.
Brooke glanced at Tyler, waiting for him to speak, but he just kept bouncing his leg and sighing, so eventually Brooke placed a hand on his knee to stop him.
"Ty, what's going on?" she asked him
"I'm going to sound crazy" he said, shaking his head.
Brooke almost laughed. After everything she and Caroline had been through, and with everything she had learned about vampires and witches and the supernatural, she didn't think that was possible anymore.
