Over the last few months of not only their professional lives within AEW , but also their personal lives, Zoe Reso had found herself watching on from the shadows silently as her husband of 2 years (boyfriend of 4) continued to drive the crazy train further and further down the loony tracks towards god only knew where at that point. However, regardless of everything else that had been going on between them, what had killed her more than anything else was watching the relationship between Jay, Nick & his mother Shayna develop week by week. without any care for how she felt. When the stable & storyline including Shayna was first introduced , Zoe had somehow managed to trick her mind into remembering that it was a storyline that her husband was in with the pair & that no matter what it was her brain was telling her, Jay loved her.. that in his eyes 'nobody else came close to her' , but in reality, as the whole 'Patriarch' storyline and stable had developed & Adam & Jay's storyline developed , it was safe to say that not only their relationship, but their marriage was hanging by a thread and Shayna was determined to be the scissors that broke it.
After being unable to contact his little sister at all throughout the week and with his concerns over her mental health growing more and more intense by the day , Adam, knowing exactly where she would likely be now that they were at work, walked into the gorilla/production area in search of her, nothing else of any concern to him. but as he walked in , he felt his heart instantly break as he laid eyes on his little 'bobcat' & as he walked closer. he saw just how not only tired, but pale she was looking. Unaware that her brother was in the production area staring at her , Zoe, her body feeling numb, watched the screen in front of her as Jay walk towards the ring , his entourage by his side and as she did. her mind exhausted, all the Canadian woman wanted was to break down & cry there & then , she missed him... she missed them, she missed the man that she had fallen in love with innocently and purely ... the man that she had married 2 years prior... the man who had been a rock for not only Adam, but also her when their mom passed away... an action that cermented just how much she loved him. However, after watching his change not only inside but now outside of the ring , she knew in her heart that he wasn't her' Goose' ...at least he wasn't anymore and however much she truly missed him, in her heart, she couldnt help but question if she was actually IN LOVE with him anymore. As everybody listened to 'The Patriarch's' promo about how he had beaten Adam and how he was still the TNT champion, Zoe instantly felt her mouth dry as Jay mentioned Shayna... the woman who'd caused her self doubt, a woman that was closer in age to Jay then Zoe was... a woman who made her feel like a real life Cinderella ever since she 'd joined the company and stood by Jay . After Shayna had come out & gave her promo, Zoe paled as Jay once again brought up Zoe & Adam's mother... how he'd scored with his matriarch & more importantly... how his family was secure" 20? you okay?" Julia asked as her and Skye walked over to her concerned"zoe, you're shaking!" Skye exclaimed, feeling sick, Zoe couldn't take hearing her husband talk anymore... storyline or not it was making her feel sick. When she'd pushed past everyone, Zoe ran as fast as she physically could in her heeled feet... away from the crowd, away from the judgement that she knew that she was getting from those around her & she ran away from showing any of her emotions and weakness, however in her running away , what she hadn't realised was that her big brother, her 'bubby'( the man that was and had always been her superhero, the man who no matter what had happened between them had always protected her) had witnessed her implosion and had watched her run away. Whilst turning around and looking back at his boss, Darby & Sting, Adam sighed and exclaimed to the men "I'm really sorry to cut this short, I need.. " "to go and chase after Zoe? say no more "The Icon smiled , knowing the sibling bond the pair had" let us know if we can do anything to help out " Darby smiled" thanks" Adam smiled sadly "tell her whatever she needs, it is hers " Tony exclaimed as like everyone else, he could tell she was struggling with everything going on .
