Karlie's P.O.V
I looked at her and began to think about what Lily had told me to do. 'Make her feel like you do like her and it's not for show or figures.' So I took a deep breath and began to speak. "I know you didn't really have anywhere to be and I know that I hurt you with that comment about the pictures but I honestly didn't mean it the way I said it." I watched Taylor scoff.
"Sure you didn't Karlie." I shook my head.
"I really didn't, of course I want you on my wall, I want you everywhere in my apartment. The walls, the floors, the roof even my bed..." I say wriggling my eyebrows at her. "I like you so much and I made a complete fool of myself but I want to fix it because this isn't a fling for me. I really like you." I finish as I watch Taylor stand still until she finally talks. "I like you too Karlie, but I've been in this type of relationship before. The back and forwards not knowing what's what and I don't want to do it anymore." I nod my head and move closer to her as her blue eyes watch me.
"What can I do to convince you then?" I question my eyes never leaving hers. I watch her look away for a minute the her confidence is back. "Kiss me." She requests and I smile and pull her towards me then when she is close enough all I do is hug her an exasperated sigh exits her mouth as she realises that I had planned this out. Pulling away I look into her darkened blue eyes. "I can't kiss you Taylor." I state. "Why?" she questions obviously mad.
"Because I would like to ask you a question, is that okay?"
"Sure, was that the question?" she sarcastically remarks. I laugh and she joins me.
"No but will you go on a date with me?" She looks at me.
"When?" she questions her brain not skipping a beat.
"Now." I firmly state pulling her towards me and pecking her cheek. She immediately blushes and I can't get over how sexy it is. 'God I'm so dead.' I think as we walk out to a waiting Lily. "Hey Lil," I call as we walk out, Taylor was a few steps behind me. "We're headed out for a bit. Thanks for the help." She smiles and waves before going back to helping Dixie braid a Barbie doll's hair. I laugh and motion for Taylor to lead. She smiles and we head to a waiting SUV that Taylor states is her security men. I smile and nod as she lists off restaurants for us to visit even though I inform her to pick wherever. She eventually does and we end up outside an amazing salad bar. Casual conversation starts between us, nothing more. No hand holding, hugging or kisses to the outside world it would seem like two friends getting dinner, nothing weird about that.Taylor's P.O.V
Dinner with Karlie was amazing, I'm glad Lily helped her out and she apologized for the comment and I knew she meant it. We had good conversation discussing the fashion show and I learnt so much about her just by listening to her talk. She told me about her photo shoots, fashion shows and meeting designers and having an input. It sounded wonderful and by the time we were ready to leave I felt like I knew her better. She claimed she would ask me questions another time, but I invited her to have a wine or coffee with me. Breathing rather heavily whilst she weighed up her options my heart relaxed when she said, "Of course." Smiling at her as we made our way across the apartment building's foyer and past Angie at the counter we just talked randomly until we paused in front of my door, she had never been here and I was just praying it was tidy.An hour later Karlie met me in the kitchen, it was 11.42pm but we were wide awake. "This place is amazing..." she gushed as I blushed.
"T-t-thanks," I managed to stutter out as she shook her shoulders like it was no big deal. Handing her a coffee I had just made she inhaled and smiled. "I love coffee." She stated and I laughed and agreed with her. Coffee was my life and Starbucks was my long lost lover. I lived for it, nothing better than a caramel latte. I was just about to talk and start a new conversation when my phone buzzed. 'MANAGEMENT' was the incoming caller. I looked to Karlie who said, "Take it, it's your management. I'll be here." I smiled and made my way to my bedroom, shutting the door as I answered the phone. "Hello..." But I wasn't expecting the anger on the other end.
"Taylor what the bloody hell are you doing?" Paula screams from the other end. My mouth goes dry almost instantly. "Uhm, well just uhm..."
"Karlie Kloss, really? We have only just got rumours of you and your old fiddle player Emily Poe to stop and now you're out with Karlie Kloss?" My mind began to run a thousand times per second and then I lost it. "So what now I can't even have a bloody dinner with a friend without being accused of dating them. That's pathetic and you know it Paula. You could have said 'Hey Taylor, good dinner with Karlie what's the deal?' and I would have said it was a friendly dinner god I met her not even three days ago, we were just having dinner at a salad bar, Lily introduced us." I managed to say without too much anger but I knew I said it loudly. "Lily introduced you?" Paula questioned. I sighed into the phone, "Yes Paula, imagine getting introduced to a model at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, scandalous right?" I sarcastically replied still mad and pleased I hadn't told Paula I liked Karlie, I was aware of the 'Emily rumours' but they weren't true from my end. "Okay, I get it I over-reacted. Just make sure..." I interrupted her by saying.
"Oh yeah, I'll be sure to kiss her goodnight. God Paula I'm allowed friends."
"I know Taylor but rumours like these could ruin your reputation, you are just getting over Harry." winced and she knew it was a taboo subject. "Yes I know." I gritted out through my teeth. "Bye." I managed before hanging up on her and turning my phone to silent before texting my mom and telling her I needed to talk to her tomorrow. Things just got complicated because I snapped at Paula.Walking back out to Karlie I found her snuggled on the couch fast asleep. I leant over her and pulled the blanket from the couch and settled it over her. Tucking it around her I remembered doing the same thing to Dixie when she stayed a few months ago. It made me realise that I couldn't let people dictate my life. Smiling I stood up and turned on the small lamp by Karlie and flicked off the rest of the lights, returning to my room to change into pyjamas and grab two pillows and a blanket for myself as I settled on the other couch, now it was just like a sleepover. Checking my blinking phone before settling down to sleep my mom had simply said I could call whenever. Sighing I lay down and asked myself when life became so difficult I couldn't even have a friend.
