Karlie's P.O.V

Walking back from lunch with Polly I felt nothing but happiness, when I left the restaurant I gave her my hotel and room number and told her to make a decision. I had decided not to live a life of solitude anymore. Arriving back to my room I heard a banging on the door, opening it I found myself face to face with Polly, "I made my decision." I smiled and nodded she had told me about her problems over lunch, she was trying to get out of a needy relationship. "That's great Polly," She smiled and walked closer and suddenly I understood. Walking backwards I hit the wall and she walked in, eyes fixed on mine and then without warning she leant over and kissed me. Pushing her backwards I said, "Look Polly, I'm not interested in you. I'm with someone else." She stepped back. "Crap, I assumed that you were single because of what you looked like before we ate." I shook my head and she sat down on my couch. "No I'm not." I really had no idea why I was lying but I didn't want things with Taylor to be over. Not yet. "Look, you can stay here, your obviously drunk. I'll grab you a pillow." She nodded and I left the room. Walking back in, she was already asleep so I left her and walked to my bedroom, locking the door just in-case.

The sound of a door shutting woke me the next morning, rolling over I jumped out of bed and cast a glance over Paris, looking down I saw a blonde haired woman getting into a SUV. Peering closer I almost believed it to be Taylor, 'it can't be Karlie. But I swear it was.' I couldn't help but pry so I called Lily, "Hey Karlie.""Hey Lily, do you know where Karlie is?" I questioned. "Yeah she went to Paris to find you." I instantly knew it had been her. "Oh yeah okay, I'll watch out for her." We quickly hung up and I paced around the hotel room before picking up and dialling my favourite number. She answered quickly. "Karlie..." I smiled as her voice warmed me. "Hey Tay, why don't you come back up here?" I heard her intake. "No I'm going home, leaving in twenty minutes. You can go back to her Karlie, I can't compete with a brunette..." She carried off and I knew she had seen Polly leave. "Oh Tay, she was drunk I locked my room and stayed inside last night. She left this morning, I didn't even see her." I was praying she would just listen and turn around. "I'm sorry I have to go Karlie." Then the phone call disconnected and I knew I couldn't let her leave. I needed her. Changing into sweatpants I rushed out the door barefoot and sprinted to the airport down the road, five minutes later I arrived and sprinted through the airport to the private airplane lounge, I had clearance here because I flew often, throwing my I.D at the woman I ran through and saw her standing looking out the window. Her blonde curls hanging off her shoulders and I could see she was upset, she kept looking at her phone so I called her again but stayed back. "Karlie I'm leaving." I took a deep breath and then started to talk. "Look please don't leave. There is so much that I want to say to you. Don't leave me please." I watched her shoulders sag and realised she felt the same way. "Karlie I don't have time...""Of course you do, so please turn around so we can talk." I hung up the phone and watched her turn and look, her blue eyes met mine and I saw a smile grace her beautiful face. My arms spread wide by themselves as I shrugged at her, she ran full bore into my arms and latched herself to me like a monkey. All I could hear was the cheers from the locals sitting in the private lounge and as she looked back to glance around I placed her on the ground and pulled her chin to meet mine. "Not going anywhere." I growled and firmly planted my lips on hers. She sighed and leant into the kiss before leaning back. "I need more of that..." she sighed. "Lucky for you I can arrange that." I state as she nuzzled closer to me. "Come back with me, I'm here for three weeks." She looked at me and kissed me. "Is that a yes?" She nodded. "For everything." I smiled and began to spin her around in my arms feeling happier than I had in months, finally it was real. We were real and she was my one true love.

Taylor's P.O.V

Walking through the airport holding Karlie's hand was surreal. I knew that no one got a picture of the kiss from the private lounge because everyone in there respected each other's privacy but I looked at Karlie leading me towards the SUV that had come back when I called and I knew that this wasn't going to be a secret. Karlie climbed inside first as I clambered after her, sitting in the middle I rested my head on her shoulder. "Karlie, I think I uhm love you..." I said and less than ten seconds later I felt her press a kiss to the side of my head. "Good because I love you." Looking into her green eyes I could feel the love. "I want to go public." I stated and she smiled and nodded. "We can do that once we are back in the States if you want." She sounded sceptical but I nodded opting to wait until we were back to ask her why. "I know what you're thinking Taylor and it's because I don't want you to get hurt by me." I glanced over and saw her looking down at the ground but before I could answer the SUV stopped and we had arrived. Karlie climbed out her side and walked around to my door, opening it before letting me step out. I looked at her but she avoided my look, I knew I had to convince her it was what I wanted.

'Ding' the elevator arrived on Karlie's floor as I rolled my suitcase out behind us. Security had left after I told them to leave. They were always respectful and obviously gathered that I wouldn't be leaving the hotel for any time that day. Waiting for Karlie to let us in I just walked past her into the lounge, seeing a pillow still on her couch and her bed messy on only one side told me that she had told me the truth about the brunette woman so I decided to let it go. "Karlie come here..." I called to her retreating back. She turned around and avoided me again. Shuffling towards me she sat on the end of her unmade bed as I sat next to her. Grasping her warm hand our fingers collided and linked showing the bond we both felt. "Karlie...""Look Taylor, I don't want you to get hurt. I don't want to be the next one to hurt you." I gasp slightly and tugged her face to look at mine. Green eyes met blue eyes as I felt the pain and the hurt in her features. "You're not going to hurt me Karlie because we love each other. Nothing safe is worth the drive Karlie, you know that." She perked her ears up. I remember her saying she was a fan of my music. "That was cheesy Taylor, even for you. Your own damn lyrics!" I laughed and watched her smile. "Karlie, I love you and I don't believe for a minute that you will hurt me, when you're around me I'm always so afraid of ruining things and saying the wrong thing but one look from you melts me and I can't focus. I love you." I whisper to her as I hold her face in my hands. Watching her nod as she understands I lean in and kiss her lips. Feeling them work against mine. "I love you too." She whispers back. I smile and look around her room, seeing a T.V and then my suitcase I smiled wider and said, "Let's watch T.V..." she looked around and smiled,"Okay, I'll make the bed and we can cuddle?" she questioned at the end. Enthusiastically nodding I leapt off the bed towards my suitcase so I could drag out pyjamas, luckily it was a warmer day so I threw on grey sweatpants and a black long-sleeved pyjama top while Karlie tossed a sweatshirt over top of her pale purple t-shirt and she was wearing her grey sweatpants too. Ten minutes later the opening credits of Love Actually were playing onscreen but my mind was elsewhere. Karlie's hand was absentmindedly playing with my hair as she had decided that since she was taller then she would rest against the headboard and I had to be between her legs and the blanket over me. I had initially scoffed before she said it was important to her so I agreed knowing she wanted to be protective. It was sweet actually but nearly an hour in and she was snoring softly, it was only 2.45pm but she had an early day thanks to me, and a late night out.

Carefully trying to untangle myself from her limbs was tiring and just as I managed to escape she woke up and dragged me back to her. "Karlie..." I moaned as she pressed a chaste kiss to my neck, she had found my sweet spot. "What?" she questioned feigning innocence, "Nothing, what are you doing?" She laughed. "Seriously you don't know a kiss when you feel it. That's great." I laughed and then she said, "Come back to bed, let's snuggle." I turned and looked at her and her eyes were no longer afraid but happy and content. Nodding I allowed her to drag us back up the bed and throw me down onto a pillow on the left side of the bed. Looking at her she said easily, "You only sleep on the left hand side." I nodded and lay down as she settled behind me, cradling us together with our hands linked across my stomach. I fell asleep early that night and I was content with the sleep I had fallen into. No dark faces clouded my thoughts, although I tried to say it was because I was tired I knew it was because Karlie was holding me tightly and I felt safe.
