Jedi Temple, Coruscant, 7955 C.R.C
"You know I hold the record on this course, right?" Anakin said, crossing his arms as he observed the brown haired girl doubtfully. A smirk played on his lip and he possibly radiated arrogance.
Kaia rolled her eyes — she found herself doing that a lot in his presence — and didn't bother looking up from the computer she used to program the Obstacle Course. The two young padawans stood inside one of the Temple's training chambers, preparing for Anakin's first 'lesson' in how to become a better Jedi.
"I don't doubt it," Kaia said as she finished loading in the program. Finally meeting his questioning gaze, she continued, "You're reckless which makes you fast. I doubt you ever stop to consider the next step, which is how you break records —- but it's also how you get yourself and others killed."
"No one has died yet," Anakin told her, his confidence wavering for only a second.
"You are so confident that you could have protected Senator Amidala," Kaia said, knowing the mention of his little crush would give her his full attention. "Now is your opportunity to prove it."
"On an obstacle course?" Anakin said, still sounding unconvinced.
"First of all, I don't appreciate this tone when I'm about to put my imaginary-life in your hands," Kaia told him, marching his narrowed gaze. "Do you want to do this or not?"
"What do you want me to do, Solo?" Anakin asked, bowing mockingly.
"You are going to guide me through the obstacle course," Kaia explained. "Which means that this time you can't rush through the course, because you'll have to help me through it at the same time. I'll play Senator Amidala in this scenario."
Anakin's cerulean blue eyes scanned up and down her form judgingly. The teenage girl inside her suddenly became self-conscious about her own appearance. Her white and beige Jedi robes weren't exactly flattering and brown hair had been braided into a crown around her head.
She'd never met Padmé Amidala, but her face was plastered all over the HoloNet. The Senator from Naboo was a beautiful woman with dark brown hair that always had been styled into elaborate hairstyles. The dresses she wore only enhanced her beauty and queen-like appearance.
Of course Kaia knew she could never compare to that and honestly she didn't care what Anakin thought about her. But it would be a lie to say it didn't sting a little. "What I mean is, that your task is to protect me through the course and make sure I don't get shot down. I won't use the Force or my lightsaber, so you're the only thing standing between me and those blasters, Skywalker."
