Mos Eisley, Tatooine, 7955 C.R.C

Kaia quickly ushered Anakin out of Watto's shop when the Toydarian had given them the address to Cliegg Lars. She didn't like how Watto tried to lure Anakin in by asking for help because she saw how difficult it was for him to be in the presence of somebody that at one point owned him.

The T-6 shuttle landed by a moisture farm located on the Great Chott salt flat on the outskirts of the Jundland Wastes. No other sign of life could be seen for miles in any direction if the sandcovered wasteland that surrounded the Lars family's farm.

Kaia patiently waited for Anakin to gather the strength to stand up and walked out to face his mother. Even though he'd clearly missed her terribly since leaving Tatooine ten years ago, Kaia could imagine how nerve wracking it must feel for him to be back. Especially now when his mother had a life much different from the one he left her in.

When he finally stood up, Kaia silently followed him out of the shuttle. Once more, she was blinded by the scorching Tatooine suns and immediately she missed the coolness inside the ship. "Stay with the ship, Artoo," Kaia told the droid and Artoo whistled in response and rolled back into the ship while the two padawans approached the homestead.

That is when Kaia spotted a familiar protocol droid working on a moisture vaporator. Despite the lack of a golden chassis and red arm, she could easily recognise C-3PO who alongside Artoo served in the Resistance during her time there.

Threepio looked up when they neared him and said, "Oh, hello. How might I be of service? I am C-"

"Threepio?" Anakin finished, clearly also recognising the droid but from an entirely different time. Kaia never knew Threepio originally came from Tatooine.

"Oh, my," C-3PO seemed somewhat confused but then he recognised Anakin. "Oh, my maker! Master Ani! I knew you would return, I knew you would!" he exclaimed happily. "Oh, and I don't think we have been introduced," he turned to Kaia.

"Hello, Threepio, I am Kaia," Kaia introduced herself politely.

"Bless, my circuits! I'm so pleased to see you!" C-3PO said, overjoyed by Anakin's return.

"I've come to see my mother," Anakin said, bringing Kaia back to reality. For a few seconds she'd forgotten why they came to Tatooine in the first place.

"Oh, um, I think perhaps we'd better go indoors," C-3PO said, his joy dying completely which only made Kaia more concerned. The little hope she had that Anakin's dreams didn't mean anything was slowly being crushed.
