Main Vault, Scipio, 7956 C.R.C

Killian narrowed his eyes at Kaia again, studying the young woman closely and she boldly met his gaze, recalling the many times she'd seen her father do the exact same thing whenever he disagreed with one of his father's decisions; but in the end, Kaia's father always ended up caving.

Therefore, Kaia was genuinely shocked — as was Kieran and the other two — when Killian caved, "I should kill you," he said, "I really should."

"Nothing is stopping you," Kaia held her hands out to show how defenceless she was. By now, Kaia barely knew what game she was playing but her instincts told her to just go with it.

"Other than the blood running through your veins," Killian said, chewing on the inside of his cheek as he considered his options. "The Great Clan Wars wiped out most of our family. There are only two of us left," he looked over at his little brother, "or so we thought. I won't be the reason more Crevan blood is spilled."

"You didn't even know me," Kaia pointed out. In times like this, she needed her master to tell her to shut up or give her one of his infamous glares. "Is the blood in my veins truly enough?"

"This time it is," Killian confirmed.

"Killian, this is madness-"

"Need I remind you," Killian turned to glare at the male warrior who smacked her in the face earlier, "that you are the reason that she even got into the Main Vault."

"I respect your decision, Killian, but are you just going to let her go?" the female warrior asked.

"Not exactly," Killian said with a small smirk, "it would be quite irresponsible of me to simply let my own kin wander around the galaxy. Therefore, I will lend you my three best warriors to complete whatever task you hoped to accomplish by breaking into Rush Clovis's office."

"So you're pretty much telling me that while you intend to let me go, you won't actually let me go until I've revealed the reason I had for almost making all of you look like fools?" Kaia said, narrowing her eyes at the older man. "It feels like a trap. How do I know you won't simply murder me the second you realise what my intended target is?"

"The knowledge that you either complete this task with our help, or I will bring you will remain a — guest with restricted movements— for the remainder of your life," Killian told her bluntly.

"A prisoner," Kaia concluded.

"No, we do not hold our own kin prisoner, do we Kieran?" Killian said.

"Well, one time when I was eight you did lock me into my room-" Kieran began only for the female Mandalorian to punch his arm, successfully shutting him up.
