The Citadel, Lola Sayu, 7957 C.RC
With their shuttle in flames, and their only hope of getting off this planet destroyed, the rescue team and the escaped prisoners were now forced to make their way across Lola Sayu's perilous landscape in order to evade the warden, Osi Sobeck, and his droids. After leaving the platform, the group found a temporary refugee in the magma filled caves.
Kaia walked behind Obi-Wan and in front of Anakin as they followed the narrow paths of rock creating a pathway between the pools of magma. They were all exhausted already and the heat from the lava definitely didn't make Kaia feel any better.
"We're clear!" Rex announced loudly, walking in the front to make sure they didn't stumble into a trap.
"So what's our next move?" Ahsoka wondered.
"We're going to have to fight our way off this rock," Anakin said determinedly.
"Contact the Council," Obi-Wan said, looking down at Master Piell. "See when they plan to rescue us."
"I'll handle it," Piell told them. He then turned around to face R2-D2 who beeped in response and immediately contacted the Jedi Council.
A holographic image of Mace Windu was projected in front of them and in his normal stoic voice, he said, "Master Piell, it's good to see you alive, my friend."
"Likewise, Master Windu," Piell responded with an equally monotonous voice.
"You can just feel the happiness," Kaia muttered under her breath, earning a chuckle from Anakin who stood next to where she'd jumped up and sat on a boulder.
"Our escape route has been compromised," Master Piell continued, thankfully not hearing Kaia's comment, "and there are several squads of droids closing in on us."
"When can we expect your arrival?" Anakin asked, stepping forward.
"Master Plo is already on route," Windu revealed.
A holographic image of Yoda appeared next to Windu and the old Grand Master said, "Gunships will arrive to evacuate you and your men, but do not delay. Only a small window of opportunity shall we have. Your rendezvous point will be this island," he continued and a map of the many caves and canyons of the volcanic planet was shown in front of them.
"Understood," Piell said with a nod.
"May the Force be with you," Windu said and then the transmission ended.
"I love how the rendezvous point is in the middle of an island surrounded by magma," Kaia said. "Where there no fields or mountain tops available?"
"What's the fun in that?" Anakin asked, bumping his shoulder with hers.
