Jedi Temple, Coruscant, 7955 C.R.C

After the Battle of Geonosis, Kaia had spent the entire journey back to Coruscant being tended to by medical droids before being forced to lie down and sleep. Though, despite her exhaustion, sleep did not come easy for her. Each time she closed her eyes, she saw Anakin lying unconscious on the ground, arm cut off by the elbow, and she was filled with a deeply rooted guilt for not being able to stop it.

Just like she'd failed to prevent the Clone Wars from breaking out...

Many viewed the Battle of Geonosis as a victory due to the many Trade Federation battleships that had been taken but Kaia knew what was coming for them. This was only the beginning – the first battle of many to come – and many lives would be lost before it ended. Of course, Kaia would do her absolute best to make sure the wars ended sooner rather than later, but she realised there was only so much she could do. Her priority needed to be preventing Anakin from falling to the Dark Side – but to do that she needed to do her part in ending the wars.

Since they returned to the Temple, she'd not actually seen Anakin. Due to his severe injury, Anakin had been brought to the Temple infirmary upon their arrival. The medical droids could not save his right lower arm, but they would be able to create a mechno-arm for him. Compared to losing a limb, the scars across her ribs seemed like small scratches; especially since no one ever would see those scars due to her Jedi robes.

Inside one of the many meditation chambers, Kaia sat cross-legged and tried to process through everything that had happened lately. Ever since she got sent back, she'd hoped for some kind of a sign – even though it felt foolish – because now she was left not knowing if her actions impacted the galaxy in a good way or if she simply made everything worse.

While she could not imagine many outcomes of this war that would be worse than the Jedi Purge and the Rise of the Empire, Kaia had a feeling that her bad luck would help the universe to create something so terrible that the Empire and the First Order seemed like child play. If only Luke was there to guide her.

"Kaia," a familiar monotone voice broke through her meditative state. Opening her eyes, Kaia was met by the sight of Master Windu standing in front of her. With that signature scowl on his face, she couldn't quite determine what she was in for. Her master had not spoken to her since the Battle of Geonosis – a battle Kaia shouldn't have been in had she just followed his command.

"Master Windu," Kaia straightened up. She would have stood up too had Windu not sat down across from her.

"I heard you will be fully recovered in a day or two," Windu stated.
