Geonosis, 7955 C.R.C

The battle began with the Jedi warriors charging towards the droid army while the Geonosians were flying around like wasps. A flash of purple brought Kaia's attention to her master that jumped down into the arena from the archducal box and landed in the centre of the arena where he threw off his cloak.

Two Jedi Knights ran towards the Reek and threw three lightsabers towards Kaia, Anakin and Obi-Wan. Kaia caught hers with ease and ignited it. The weight and design was a bit off — not like her own lightsaber — but it would have to do.

Since Anakin and Obi-Wan's hands remained chained, Kaia used the green saber to cut their restraints. Around them, Jedi warriors deflected the bolts fired by droids and easily cut them down, but the Geonosian troops fired ray guns that were more difficult for them to defend themselves against.

One particular blast hit one of the pillars and spooked the Reek that bucked all of them off its back and stampeded away through the arena, trampling every Jedi and droid in its path.

Kaia rolled up to her feet, gaze dropping down to her injury for a second to see the blood now mixed with sand which definitely made everything worse. But she didn't have the time to think about that — for as long as she could stand, Kaia would fight.

Senator Amidala reached forward and picked up a discarded blaster and began shooting against the droids. The two padawans fought back-to-back, much like their Masters were doing a bit away, but made sure to keep Padmé between them.

Anakin and Kaia moved in sync, almost like they'd been fighting side-by-side for years. On the ground around them both droids and Jedi warriors were starting to pile up as the battle raged on.

"Out of curiosity, is this what you call finding a diplomatic solution?" Anakin shouted over his shoulder, sending a teasing smirk towards Kaia.

"No, I moved on to aggressive negotiations," Kaia sent him a sarcastic smile in return. "It's more efficient — or so I've heard."

Neither noticed the glance Padmé gave them as they went back to deflecting blasts and cutting down droids. Across the arena, Kaia witnessed her Master cut the head off the Mandalorian bounty hunter while Obi-Wan slashed the legs of the Acklay before finally killing it.

As more and more droids entered the arena, the Jedi Knights were being pushed back into the centre. By the time a group of maybe twenty Jedi warriors and Padmé remained, the droids had them completely surrounded when all of the droids simply stopped shooting and levelled their weapons.

The bloodied sand around them were strewn with their fallen friends but there was little time to mourn the dead. Up in the archducal box, Count Dooku — Kaia recognised his face from the statue inside the Temple — loudly said, "Master Windu! You have fought gallantly.
Worthy of recognition in the history archives of the Jedi Order. Now it is finished," he paused briefly, "Surrender - and your lives will be spared."
