Geonosis, 7956 C.R.C

With Poggle the Lesser hiding inside his newly ray-shielded factories that created thousands of new weapons which marched off the assembly line against the outnumbered clone army, the Jedi finally mounted a massive invasion to retake Geonosis. With the help of the plans Kaia obtained on Cato Neimoidia they intended to shut down Poggle's factories of terror once and for all.

Kaia stood beside Obi-Wan and Ki-Adi-Mundi as a massive Republic fleet arrived in orbit of Geonosis. On her left, Caleb watched the sand covered planet with a curious gaze, having heard stories about the first battle of the Clone Wars being fought right there. And the Battle of Geonosis was exactly what plagued the minds of the other three Jedi Knights.

"I cannot believe we are back here again," Obi-Wan sighed.

"At least we're not in chains this time," Kaia said, sharing a look with Obi-Wan as they recalled their near execution in the arena.

"It is unfortunate," Mundi agreed; both Jedi Masters thought about how many fellow knights they'd lost there nearly a year ago. "The resistance from the native Geonosians was stronger than we anticipated."

"The same can be said for their loyalty to Count Dooku," Obi-Wan said as the doors to the command bridge opened for Anakin and Ahsoka.

"A fact that is often overlooked," Mundi said.

"You're late," Obi-Wan chastised his former apprentice when he reached the group.

"Sorry, Master," Anakin apologised without a hint of sincerity. "Ahsoka and I were busy routing the Seppies near Dorin."

"My squadron alone had 55 kills," Ahsoka said cockily.

"Yeah, but mine had 76," Anakin smirked arrogantly, prompting Kaia and Obi-Wan to roll their eyes at the same time.

"Show off," Ahsoka told her master.

"Well, I'm glad you two are enjoying yourselves," Obi-Wan said sarcastically.

"Hey, it's just a little friendly competition, Master," Anakin said with a lazy grin. "Nothing to worry about." Bumping his shoulder with Kaia's, he added, "What you should worry about is Solo's eyes rolling out of her head."

"What I worry about is the way this war seems to be drawing out with no end in sight," Obi-Wan said, stroking his beard.

"Which is why it is crucial our invasion of Geonosis meets with success," Mundi told them.

"Agreed," Kaia nodded. "Caleb, contact the Outer Rim Command. Tell them we're ready for our briefing."

"They are already waiting for us," Caleb announced.
