Chapter 66: Wedding of the Century

Three weeks later...

Flowers in a combination of blue and white was laid out from the entrance of the huge lawn to the altar where the High Priest is going to stand. The seats of the guests has fancy decorative set ups as well. The fairy lights are surrounding the whole garden. In front of the massive decorations is the Main Palace and the nearby castles.

The day of the wedding has finally arrived.

Everyone was busy. Running back and forth, decorating every corners of the garden. The streets of the Garathea, the capital city, was buzzling with people because of the festival in celebration of the Crown Prince's wedding.

The guests are slowly filling the place, wearing their fancy jewelries, gowns and suits for the special day. Everyone has nothing but phrases for the grand set up of the wedding of the century.

"So, today is the wedding, huh? Talagang minadali ng emperor dahil sa pagbubuntis ni Lady Lavinia," usal ni Winemia sa kawalan.

"Malapit na rin tayong makalaya," usal ni Amanadiel.

"Huh... makalaya? You really think the emperor will comply with the deal?" tanong ni Winemia.

"Lavinia is not a fool. She must have prepared something for the emperor to be forced to comply with it. She is... smart," sabat ni Valse na nakapagpatahimik sa dalawa.

But there's been something that's bothering me ever since we were captured here. Hindi ko alam kung ano iyon, but there is something... in the atmosphere of Galvion in general, especially today. Just what is it?

Natigil si Valse sa pag-iisap nang mapansin ang mga knights na lumapit sa kanilang dungeon cell. They were taken aback when the knights unlocked the cell. Nagkatinginan silang tatlo.

"Kayong tatlo, Gervalse, Winemia at Amanadiel, tinatawag kayo ng emperor."

Hindi na nakapalag pa sina Valse nang puwersahan silang pinatayo at pinalakad palabas ng dungeon cell. Tahimik na sumunod ang tatlo. Halos masilaw sila dahil sa liwanag nang tuluyang makalabas ng dungeon matapos ang ilang linggo sa madilim na dungeon cell.

"Saan niyo kami dadalhin? Paano iyong mga kasamahan namin sa dungeon?" hindi na napigilan pa ni Winemia ang magtanong.

"Huwag kayong mag-aalala, hindi sila aalis doon. Naimbitahan lamang kayo ng emperor sa isang masayang pagpupulong ngayon," the knight answered in a cold tone.

"Pagpupulong...?"

Agad ding nasagot ang kanilang katanungan nang iniwan sila ng mga knights sa isang kwarto sa Main Palace. The room has a wide balcony and wide windows. When they look at outside, they immediately saw the massive decorations outside.

"I-It's the wedding..." usal ni Winemia at nilingon si Valse na nakatulala rin sa baba kung saan ang kasal.

"How's the view here, Gervalse and team?" isang tinig sa kanilang likuran.

Halos sabay nilang nilingon ang nakangising emperor. He's wearing his formal, red suit, with full of decorative pins, long and huge cape, with aiguillettes, jewelries, and his red, imperial crown.

"It is a good day today! I figured, since you are my son's dearest friend that I would invite you to his wedding. Iyon nga lang ay naubos na ang upuan para sa mga importanteng bisita, kaya naisipan kong bigyan ka ng mas malinaw at malawak na accomodation. In this room, you can clearly see and hear the ceremony, especially their vows later."
