Chapter 13: In the Middle of A Jungle

"Commander, there's a dungeon underground this building and the slaves are there. Pinakawalan na rin namin sila. What do we do next?"

Napalingon si Lavinia sa isa sa mga knight captain na lumapit sa kaniya. Sinulyapan niya ang dalawang nakatali pa ring tauhan ng auction house bago sinenyasan si Aquilo na lumapit sa kaniya.

"I'll go there myself. Dalhin ang dalawang 'yan, I have some few questions to ask."

Naunang maglakad si Lavinia. Nakasunod sa kaniyang likuran si Aquilo, ang tatlong captain ang iba pa niyang mga tauhan. They went to the underground dungeon of the auction house. Agad na umalingasaw ang mabahong amoy ng may kadilimang dungeon.

Some of them are looking at Lavinia with fear, some are glaring her with anxious eyes and some do not have the guts to even look up to her.

Natigil ang mga mata ni Lavinia sa tatlong slaves na yakap-yakap ng isang lalaking mukhang teenager pa. Umawang ang kaniyang bibig nang mapagtanto na bata pa ang mga ito.

"How old are they?" turo ni Lavinia sa tatlong bata.

Agad na humigpit ang hawak ng teenager na lalaki sa mga batang iyon.

"According to the records that the manager gave, they are about 5 to 7 years old, Commander..." may bahid ng lungkot ang pagkakasabi ni Captain Isaac doon saka ibinaba ang hawak na ledger na isinuko sa kanila ng manager ng auction house.

Lavinia shut her mouth for a long time. The knights were looking at her with anxious look, kahit si Aquilo ay tahimik siyang pinagmamasdan.

Master is angry. I can feel it.

Tumalikod si Lavinia upang harapin ang manager at ang host ng auction house. Avoiding the gazes of the slaves in front of her.

"Get them out here first, I just have to deal with these idiots," ani Lavinia sabay sulyap sa isang nakabukas na kulungan.

The knights assisted the slaves from going out of the dungeon.

"S-Sino ka? B-Bakit mo ginagawa ito? Sasaktan mo rin ba kami? Ibebenta?"

Napalingon si Lavinia sa teenager kanina na hanggang ngayon ay yakap pa rin iyong tatlong bata. Pinasadahan siya ni Lavinia ng tingin. Despite his age and what he just went through, his eyes remained determined and brave.
