I was actually expecting our challengers to go down immediately but it appears like there’s been a short discussion before a group of 3 girls and 2 boys joined us in the broken arena. I’ve never seen their faces before and I saw Jaray stood on his seat; bitter face. Geez. It’s unfair, the grounds has become one of the tests here. Tss.

Right, standing in front of us are one proud adamant-looking tall guy with legs so thin that they appear arms to me, another guy- this one’s tubby and has fats as second chin, a shy slender short lady in eyeglasses, snobby boyish girl with curly wig and the last one is a girl with waist-length silky straight black hair. Ohh...

Tough-looking team means tough battle but we’re not the team who’ll yield, we’ll win and we’ll prove to all the professors around, we deserve to win. Especially, Odin and I. Both of us trained well and we promised to ourselves, Mrs. Samartia will never ever suggest taking us to Fatals... Never.

“I heard you’re tough.” This tall guy whispered in front of me.

I just blinked the comment away.

“You know what.” The guy continued, “Your team’s going down. We’re one special team.” He winked at me. Just a thought, we’re just neighbours and I should’ve seen them even once. Well, maybe that’s how unfriendly I am.

The curly-haired girl elbowed him to shut him down.

“Let’s see; if you defeat us, I’ll tell you a secret.” He said making sure; the five of us heard it. The girl glared at him but he just tilted his head as if stretching.

                And the timer flashed zero...

We scrambled to our feet, running as fast as we can to put enough distance between our groups. And when we faced them again, they were standing like uninterested to fight.

“What’s wrong with you?!” I heard someone over the other section yelled and the tall guy bent low, now stretching his back.

The guy looked at his classmates direction and said, “Viel, (the eyglassed girl looked at him) give me some covers here.” And fog crawled through the spaces in the windows and doors as it filled the whole arena giving everyone zero visibility.

“Mik.” Clarice said and though I barely see him, he started blowing hundreds of bubbles through his hands in okay sign. His bubbles if burst will alert him where the enemies are since he can sense his those. Tell me, we’re not all strength right? Tactics my friend. Mr. Moxi taught us.

Then I felt Mik tensed and said, “They’re moving everywhere. They’re fast!”

“Zaj and Elly, help me with this fog.” And so my over-sized pressure ball sipped the fog as Zajane’s fire and Clarice’s warmth heated the arena.
