When I woke up the next day, Jaray and Lou have left already leaving me a cold soup for breakfast. Everyone, everything have been busy doing stuffs outside. I struggle my way away from the tangle of students and man on stallions on the streets causing a lot of traffic congestion. Geez... What an early morning stress. It was only; let me think, around thirty minutes past seven.
Tons of people; visitors, students, vendors, food stalls and vehicles are on each side of street. I wonder if these newly installed rules really helped ‘coz judging from what’s happening: food stalls kept on moving from one spot to another for breaking the rules on where to installs these stalls, students crossing the wrong pedestrian lane, visitors lost at the sea of traffic violators, cars and buses from the E-city honking, horning and yelling at each people around and the men on stallion are really ravaging, rampaging and running around streets like crazy clowns in silver plates yelling for what is proper and what is not. Haha. What a stress.
I was happy to see some of my friends. Kathe and the rest of the group were busy wasting their time, sitting on park benches.
“So what do you guys doing here?” so foolish of me to asked.
“As if we’re doing something other than what you’re seeing, Elly.” It was Renzarl, sitting beside his girlfriend Louve who’s chatting with Remei nonstop.
“Oh! Yeah. Right dude. ” I manage a smile. “What shall we do now? I mean no classes, no homeworks, uhmm...”
“We just wait.” Kathe said, looking irritated really early. I say never irritate a lioness after her sleep.
I think of what’s proper, sit beside Katy and Lourette and stop talking and asking. But you know, my whole mouth needs proper medical attention, they seem to be out of my brain controls, “have you seen jaray?”
Katy shook her head.
“Probably, he’s out there with Roxy in the middle of chaos; lost and frantic.” Lourette said.
“Jaray’s with Roxy?”
“No. We haven’t seen Roxy since we woke up this morning.” Katy replied.
“Like Jaray.” I whispered and wondered and found the answer immediately but it’s better to keep it to myself.
“I think she’s with this boy again.” Lourette seem to be gnashing her teeth, “Whenever she’s going somewhere we don’t know, she’s probably dating with her boy again.”
“Why?” I asked, “She’s dating, we don’t have class, what’s wrong with that?”
“Yeah. Nothing’s wrong except the boy.” Why do I get the feeling Lourette’s being jealous.
“Can’t be Lourette.” Katy said.
“Can’t what? Are you saying that the boy is the right one for her?”
“No. What I mean is, whenever Roxy dates this boy, she never goes alone. She’s with Kathe and Kathe’s with us right now.” Katy explained. I felt an urge of telling them where Roxy might have been but Jaray didn’t gave me permission to inform the entire group about it.
I glanced up at Kathe, who’s suddenly busy checking her phone for a message followed by a disappointed look.
“Kathe seems like not in the mood.” I said.
“Who would be in good mood when your unspoken Boyfriend has not texted you for two consecutive days?” Lourette jokingly said making sure, Kathe would hear it over the other side of the bench.
Kathe just shook away what she heard.
Lourette is a very moody person, very frank, very short tempered and very good in chatting with unknown friends in this certain text messaging chat, like a chat happening between text messages. I don’t exactly know how it happens and I dare not know, I don’t wanna end up talking to myself, laughing alone and giving weird smiles while facing the phone screen. Yeah, Lourette does those things.
