“NO!!! Don’t believe him Mylene!” I saw my father running to our direction, running hysterically, tears flowing down his cheeks then he stumbles and my mom went to him to stop him. Yeah, that’s one epic fatherly move back there.
I felt a soft breeze passed right through my soul and there goes Bloodwind; walking away. Why?
“Are you coming?” Bloodwind asked.
I honestly don’t know what to say, will I come with her? Obviously, I’d rather not go. Look, she’s a known murderer and she’s with fatal and uncontrollable students. What kind of life do you think will I have? Miserable? Pathetic? Hopeless? Action-packed? Death-defying? Thrilling? Argh. And besides, she’s in contact with four other known masters of abilities. If I join her, there are no room for mistakes, friends, weak-souls and fun. I will not be me.
“I’m not coming.” I said.
“I’m not asking you, boy.” She replied. What the heck have I just heard? Did she actually say that? She knew I was her son and now she wouldn’t take her son with her? Look, it’s not like I wanted to go, I’ve already explained myself perhaps to you if not to myself. But a mother who’s been separated from her only son will not even ask if her son wanted to come?
I felt my mom and dad going psycho about this. They’re happy, of course, that Bloodwind isn’t bringing me with her. Maybe she knows I wouldn’t survive around her. Maybe she still has that motherly side of her somewhere under that long cloak. Maybe she indeed misses her son but rather take sacrifice of leaving him because it’s for the good. Oh, Elly, don’t get your hopes too high! But-but. Right.
“Harlley. I don’t repeat questions. You know that.” She continued.
I looked at Harlley with questioning eyes. I also feel tears forming around them but I ain’t a kindergarten student who’s afraid to be left by his mom. I actually want to hug her. I want to know her. I want to tell her that no matter how bad the world thinks of her, I still recognize her as my mom. You might think I’m getting inconsistent here but bear with me. I’m also confused. She didn’t abandon me. I don’t know what’s running in her mind. I wish I know. I wish I have been given enough time to process everything in. I wish, I wish I understand myself more.
Without saying a word, Harlley started walking. I took his arm but he just shook his head and said, “Its fine, Elly. You take care of yourself.” And he pulled his arm away.
I watched as he met Bloodwind and with just one look, they both started walking away. Why don’t they just disappear? Why are they just walking? This isn’t something like a TV-drama with those slomo things but I’m wishing she’ll look back. Just a single glance, I didn’t even have the chance to see her face. How cruel is she?
“You’re leaving? Just like that?!” I shouted and both of them paused, “You see your son and just walk away?!”
My mom and dad went beside me, hugging me and probably stopping me from running after them. I know they don’t want to lose me and though it’s painful, I love them. They are the parents who raised me with care and with everything. Curiosity and longing, those are the things running in my mind about Bloodwind.
And they started walking again.
“You think you’ll just leave like that?! Take this!!!” Myrtha shouted and sprinted towards Bloodwind with a big rock held high above her head, ready to strike a strong blow.
Bloodwind didn’t even looked back when suddenly Myrtha froze and started twitching. Her chin pointing high up in the air and she lose grip of the rock. Slowly, his figure blendid in; a creature that’s never been less hideous and evil to me, the half-man half snake weirdo, Blackmirror.
“Release her.” Bloodwind ordered, still not wasting a moment to look behind.
“Oh, you do not want a witness like her about your son. Now that she’s proven it. Do you think leaving your son will do him good? You’re a fool!” Blackmirror shouted and blended out and blended in beside the mouth of the cave. Oh no, I hope he’s not thinking what’s in my mind.
“Secrets will unfold when people are strong enough to bear them, strong enough without them knowing.” Bloodwind said. “I’ve got no interest at her but when you kill her, that’s when you erase the line between D5 and murderer.”
Blackmirror seemed to consider it as Myrtha squirmed, twitched and yanked herself free off his tight grip. Myrtha is a horror, nightmare brought to life and a freak of nature but she doesn’t deserve these. No matter how angry I am at her, she’s not the type that you would like to kill. Well, I hope I’m right.
“They’ve called us murderers for so long.” Blackmirror said, “Then we might as well just prove it this time!” and I was just about to open my mouth for a NO when he threw Myrtha inside and the cave closed.

“What did you do?!!!!!!! You freak! You idiot! You heartless bastard! What have you done?!?!?!” I yelled. I freaked out. The rage’s heat came flowing out my sockets.
And I got myself free from my parents arm then things went fast that I didn’t even had time to think. I fashioned a nice punching fist with my right hand, I felt pressure forming around it but the particles suspended in the air gave the breeze form. An angry drill-like mini wind torpedo formed around my right wrist and unknowingly, I punch the air in front of me and my hand disappeared and the torpedo fist met Blackmirror right at his right temple! And BAAM!!! He did series of 360-degree turns before finding something to stop his momentum-a nice trunk of sturdy tree.
I thought it did him good but I was wrong, “You improved you’re punching prowess, kid. But I guess, you need a lot of practice still.” He said as he stood up and wiped the blood dripping out his nose.
“Let’s just go.” Bloodwind said and that’s when they disappeared.
