“I SAY TO YOU, STOP TURNING THESE PAGES, YOU WOULDN’T WANT TO READ SOMEONE’S PERSONAL NOTES, DO YOU?”

Look... my summer vacation has not been so great though I went travelling in and out of town, swimming from beaches to beaches and attending all kinds of parties, which kinda sounds we’re too rich to do such NO! Those out of towns were mostly road tests of our car and those beaches were free.

Summer’s not so fun or any human world experiences from now on, especially if you are an elemental, oh glad I can already call myself like that.

You worry that you would break everything you pass by because of sudden gusts of wind from your hands, that you would suddenly summon a sphere of wind and kill an annoying person who talks nonsense offers and promos in department stores and that anytime D5 will come and say hi to you and send you to Mother Earth. Sighs...

And the memories of that fight with snake-man really hunt me in my dreams. I can only count the number of pleasant dreams I’ve got these two months in my fingers. Sometimes, I would think of what he said, ‘What if your parents were not really your parents???’

Oh well... I was here again in front of Sir George’s gates. The gates to my chosen college career and to, of course the horror of being an elemental. Sounds scary ey? I bid my parents goodbye, hoping to see them again soon.

Nothing’s new. Same old security groups who stand like garden gnomes in blue uniform, they do not inspect, do not check ID’s, they just stare ahead of them, bullies who turned out to be just boastful guys and the same green trees inside the walls of the school.

As I pushed myself through a group of noisy freshmen, Ooh... I kinda like the sound of calling newbies as freshmen, I caught a glimpse of my former classmates chitchatting while sitting along the corridors.

The horrors of being a not-sure-elemental went back to me; I pity those freshmen here who would be having the same fate as mine just to prove his or her being an elemental. Sighs... A big good luck to the next batch of suspected cases.

Then I ran towards my classmates at the corridor. They were discussing a very important matter, something about the sectioning, when I came and distracted the conversation. Yup, that’s me, distraction...

They all greeted me as ‘hey! Welcome back!’, ‘how’s vacation?’, ‘you seem to be a little taller this year’ (Oh! I didn’t notice that.).  Just then, Clarice, who’s always as stunning as way back before I first saw her, immediately, brought the topic back, “Hey guys! Now what? Will we join them or we’ll stay as a group?”

Clarice is addressing the question to everyone which I find so rude, “Hey, anyone who would like to give a recap of what you guys are talking about?” I butted in.

“Oh sorry.” Clarice said, “We were discussing about joining our other batch mates in High school in a single section.”

“But what about the other half of our class before? Aren’t we going to stay as a group until we graduate here?”

“That’s so High School, Elly.” Nicolei replied, still wearing that weird head-band.

“Elly...” ‘Twas Jaray, my never useful roommate and former class president, “In here, well I don’t know in your colleges out the walls of Sir George, you can either have the same section last school year or a different one. The other half of our class were divided into another two groups, first is headed by Aeira and the other half was headed by Paul. As soon as they’ve heard of our plan of joining our batch mates, they automatically withdrew from the class and joined another section.”
