It had been many hours since the Queen Alicent Hightower had been in labour. Huffing and puffing as she waited until she was ready to push.

Once she was able to begin pushing, that's when the screams came, the cries for relief as she delivered the babe.

Lonely as ever she had no one by her side at this time, only being surrounded by the handmaidens and the Maester.

At a time that was meant to be joyful and happy in the family, Alicent found herself in sorrow as she gave birth.

Having to welcome another child to this world, to this kingdom, to raise them in the walls of the Red Keep knowing that they'd receive no paternal love.

At least not from their real father.

"Push, Your Grace!", the Maester encouraged, snapping the Queen from her drowning thoughts. "Push!"

Taking a deep shaky breath in, Alicent screamed down the whole Keep as she pushed her hardest.

This birth was seeming to be much harder and less smooth than her last two with Aegon and Helaena.

With all the pain and suffering there came a slight relief as the pain subsided a small bit, the Maester exclaiming. "A boy!", followed by the screams of the babe.

Trying to catch her breath Alicent watched on as one of the hand maidens took her newborn son and began to clean him with a cloth before heading her way.

Reaching out her arms to grab her distressed son, Alicent stuttered and groaned as she felt pressure building up once more.

"My Queen?", the hand maiden beside her questioned worriedly as Alicent placed her hands onto her stomach.

At this action the Maester went back down between her legs and gasped. "Twins!", he cheered in delight.

Groaning Alicent began to prepare herself for more pain, clenching her eyes shut to try subside it.

Though once more she re opened them when she felt little to no pain, opening them to see the Maester holding another babe in his hands with wide eyes.

"What is it?", Alicent asked scared at the mans expression whilst also not hearing any cries from the babe, thinking it stillborn and already tearing up at the thought.

"N-nothing, Your Grace, it's a girl", the Maester smiled proudly, handing the babe off to another handmaiden to clean up.

The handmaiden gasping at the sight of the girl and looking to the Maester with wide eyes who just shook his head.

"What seems to be the matter? Is she all right?", Alicent asked worriedly as she watched on at the Maester and handmaidens reactions to her daughter.

The difference between the reactions of her son and daughters births beginning to worry her that something may be wrong with her daughter.
