Over on Dragonstone, Rhaneyra and her council were only now finding out about the horrible death of the Prince Jaehaerys.

Ravens having been sent all around the Realm on behalf of Lord Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King....another raven would surely arrive a few days later to say that he was no longer the Hand.

All of Team Blacks council were gathered around the painted table as Maester Gerardys informed them of what the letter contained.

Explaining how the two Targaryen women, Aemma and Helaena, were ambushed in the little prince and princesses chambers.

They didn't get much more from the story, only as much as the public knew and that the house were willing to share of the tragedy.

"It is yet unclear how the Keep itself was breached", Maester Gerardys continued to explain to his Queen. "The boys head was severed from his body", he told them the grave news. "Thousands witnessed the procession."

He referred to the funeral gathering that had took place on the streets of Kings Landing, the three women riding behind the boys body.

"And they are accusing me of having a hand in this?", Rhaenyra asked him confused, this being the first she'd heard of it, never mind benign the mastermind behind it.

She was confused on how her name had got linked into this, having only gotten home herself a mere days ago after searching for her sons body, she wasn't clear on how they connected her name to the crime.

There must've been some misunderstanding, or unless it was all some political move, she wouldn't put it past someone like Otto Hightower to use this tragedy and pin it on her.

"It appears so", The Maester told her regrettably of their predicament. "There have been messages sent to that effect throughout the Realm."

"We must send our own messages, denying this vile allegation", Rhaenyra insisted to her council.

"I will do so at once", Maester Gerardys nodded, brow furrowing as he debated wether to speak anymore. "But i'm not sure they will be received in good faith", he gave his opinion.

"And we must double our guard, here and in Driftmark", Rhaenyra informed them, knowing that the loss of a child, an heir will not be taken kindly. "There will be swift retribution in one form or-"

"I have seen to it, Your Grace", Lord Bartimos Celtics cut in from where he stood at the painted table, Rhaenyra turning her head in silence away from the man who'd rudely interrupted her.

"Let me fly out on Vermax", Jace spoke up, looking up to his mother, offering himself up for the job. "Rhaenys is needed in the Gullet and I can watch for movements from Kings Landing."

The last Jace had seen of Aemma was the night that they'd danced around the room their family was having dinner in, a peaceful memory he kept of the woman, feeling sorrow for the woman.
