Walking through the streets of Kings Landing, disguised as a Septa, Rhaenyra kept her eyes on the Great Sept as she traversed closer and closer to the place.Hope in her eyes as she looked to the one place outside of the City that she'd be able to catch Alicent alone, knowing that ever since the woman was young that she'd always gone there for prayer.
Quite a few years ago Alicent had even brought Rhaenyra herself over to the Great Sept after her mother, the late Queen Aemma Arynn had died, showing the once young Rhaenyra how she had coped when her own mother Alerie Florent had passed.
Making it to the entry way for the courtyard for the Great Sept, Rhaenyra saw a flash of green walking by up ahead, her eyes getting caught on Alicent clad in her green dress, black veil flowing behind her with two Kingsguard trailing behind her.
Going to speed up in her steps at the sight of her former friend, Rhaenyras accomplice placed a light hand on her arm to silently tell her to slow her pace.
Glancing to him in question for his actions, the man slightly gestured with a nod of his head to behind Alicent, Rhaenyra looking to see another set of Kingsguards traversing through the courtyard.
Brows furrowing in confusion at the amount of knights on guard sent just for Alicents lighting of candles, Rhaenyras confused gaze lifted when she caught sight of who these other knights were protecting.
As waltzing behind Alicent, striding in mourning gear of her own was the Queen Aemma Targaryen, four Kingsguards posted around her at all angles, boxed around her.
Cursing slightly in her head, Rhaenyra bit her lip as she tried to think on what to do now. She'd come so far with sneaking her way into Kings Landing to get alone with Alicent and now her plan backfired as the woman was not alone for her prayer time.
Her daughter, who thinks that Rhaenyra had slain her son in vengeance for her own sons murder, had now accompanied the woman to the Great Sept.
Should she even chance following them? She knew she wouldn't get another opportunity like this again.
Entering the Great Sept the two women left their band for guards at the door as they enjoyed to pray alone in peace within the holy walls.
The mother and daughter duo got down onto both knees as they knelt beside the ring of candles in the center of the room.
Alicent picking up a lighting stick and holding it over the flame of an already lit candle, setting fire to the stick as she then proceeded to light her candles, handing the stick over then to Aemma so she may continue to light her own.
