The rapid opening of the two bedroom doors of the chamber jolted Aemma out of her sleep, sitting up quickly as her hand reached up to clutch her head as she felt it begin to pound, the consequence of yesterdays drinking having left her out cold the entirety of the night and following into todays afternoon.Blinking a few times as she attempted to clear the sleep from her eyes as she witnessed the blurs of many figures entering the room all at once.
Once her vision began to clear her mind was bombarded with the sight of Kingsguard, knights, Maesters and the Silent Sisters entering Aegons chambers and crowding into the room as they all circled around a box the knights had carried in.
"What's happened?", Aemma questions aloud, still sitting upright in the bed watching the people, though none of the many people in the room gave her an answer.
She watched on with a baited breath as the men popped open the lid of the humongous box, a fowl burning stench filling the room as they did.
Hand reaching up to be placed in front of her nose, Aemmas eyes followed as one of the knights reached inside the box and pulled out a sword, her eyes zeroing in onto the blade with worry as she realized it was Blackfyre, Aegons sword.
"Where is my brother", Aemma worriedly asked for Aegon, dropping any formalities or acts for the people in the room as she truly worried for her brother.
Once again receiving no answer from the men who were focused once more as a group of them reached into the box again, this time pulling out something heavier, or someone.
The thing they'd lifted out was a figure wrapped in a bag like cloth, Aemma not having to guess as much as to who exactly was being lifted over toward the bed.
With haste Aemma began to scramble off the bed, standing barefoot onto the cold tiles of the floor as her once neatly placed shoes were kicked away into some corner of the room as the men lifted the clad figure onto the bed.
Still sticking close by to the edge of the bed as she held her breath, continuing to watch as the men then dropped down the bag onto the mattress and opened it up, revealing to her eyes Aegon who was still in his armor.
She couldn't exactly see the extent to his injuries, the only thing she could see with her eyes was that he'd definitely burnt the left side of his face.
In her shaken state, Aeema hadn't noticed as her mother entered the chaotic chambers belonging to the King, Alicent taking slow and tentative steps into the room as her own shock took over at the sight of her son.
"Is he alive?", Alicent spoke up, gulping as she stopped at the bottom of Aegons bed, surveying her sons battered body still clad in his armor.
"Mother", Aemma cried to her mother, only now noticing the woman's entry, reaching out for the woman with her hands, seeking her comfort.
