It was more dreary than the day before, less excitement surrounded the day after the events of yesterday.Seeming as there was no longer a Dragon Pit to crowd everyone into that morning the Greens had to settle for the Throne Room.
It was mostly just filled with Lords and Ladies, but they did allow for some common folk to enter, the rest were allowed to crowd around outside in the courtyards and beyond the walls to see their new Queen.
As today was the day that Aemma would be crowned Queen beside Aegon. Maybe not as important politically as being crowned King, but it still was event worthy.
That is why they were all gathered, smushed together in the usually big hall that was now cramped with the amount of bodies inside of it, leaving only a row of space in the middle for the soon to be Queen to walk down.
First to enter the room we're Aemond and Helaena, arm in arm as they walked down stopping to a designated empty space near the bottom of the throne, Alicent coming in behind them as she walked on her own, usually having Ser Criston with her but she gave him a more important role for today.
Then on his own, his crown atop his head, Aegon entered the room with his head held high as he strut in, Blackfyre his sword sheathed at his side as he walked through the room and past the people calling and greeting him, walking up the steps to the throne and turning to the crowd before he sat, the room silencing at the act.
It being common knowledge that once the King sat the throne for the room to silence, readying to hear his words of wisdom.
"May I present, my wife, Aemma Targaryen", he called, holding his arm out to the doors that opened on his command.
They opened to reveal Aemma standing there with Ser Criston a few paces behind her with his hand holding the hilt of his sword, ready to defend and attack as he followed behind her.
Alicent had asked him to walk with Aemma, wary over the fact that someone could try take her daughters life with the war brewing up and after yesterday.
You never could be too careful in times like these, especially when there's a challenger to the throne, there cannot be two Queens.
Surveying the room before her Aemma took in a shaky breath as she saw all the faces looking back up at her, this was more intense and nerve wracking for her then yesterday had been.
As yesterday it was Aegons coronation, everyone had their eyes on him, but now all were on her, looking for a mistake or why they shouldn't just kill her and let Rhaneyra take her place, searching for error.
All Aemma wanted to be was perfect for them and she wasn't sure if she knew how.
Though when the crowd began to clap at her presence she let a smile cover her face, taking her first step down on the stairs, straightening her back and holding her head up.
