It was now later in the evening in the Red Keep, after the trial Viserys had requested that all of his family join together for dinner this evening.Everyone had now arrived grouping together in their respective families, not mingling with each other as they waited for the Kings entry.
The servants were hastily entering the room, setting up all the utensils and placing many pitchers of wines and water.
As everyone took their place it was clear in the divide. It was an awkward silence between the families as the last time they were together properly it had not been under friendly circumstances.
Sadly Aemma wasn't able to sit next to Aemond, being stuck sitting in between Aegon, her husband and Helaena, her sister.
The doors to the room opened as guards carried in their King who was already sat in a chair to maneuver him, everyone raising from their seats in protecall as a sign of respect.
Seating once more once the guards placed the chair Viserys was sitting on firmly on the ground in a place between Alicent and Rhaenyra.
"How good it is to see you all here tonight together", Viserys spoke after a moment of silence, seeming to be out of breath even though he'd been carried the whole way here.
"Prayer before we begin?", Alicent suggested, putting her hands together once Viserys gave a nod of approval.
Her four children followed suit, putting their hands together and closing their eyes. This was a usual for them at dinner, picking up this trait from their mother.
The other four children, Luce, Jace, Baela and Rhaena looked to the Hightower/Targaryen children in confusion as they did, not understanding the point of praying.
"May the Mother smile down on this gathering with love. May the Smith mend the bonds that have been broken for far too long. And to Vaemond Velaryon, may the Gods give him rest", Alicent spoke, before she placed her hands down and opened her eyes, her four children following suit.
"This is an occasion for celebration, it seems. My grandsons Jace and Luce will marry their cousins, Baela and Rhaena further strengthening the bond between our houses. A toast to the young princes, and their betrotheds", Viserys announced to the dinner table, as if they hadn't all heard this that morning during the trial.
"Well done, Jace. You'll finally get to lie with a woman", Argon teased into Jaces ear, the boy trying to ignore his Uncle.
"Let us toast as well to Prince Lucerys, future Lord of the Tides", Viserys congratulated, everyone but him drinking from their cups.
"You do know how the act is done, I assume? At least in principle?", Aegon stsrted whispering in Jaces ear again, Jace squeezing his hands into fists to try calm himself down, and seeing this Aegon couldn't help himself.
