Mamas Girl.
Alicent Hightower loved all her children.
She did, and no one could deny that.
But she has and always will love her youngest daughter Aemma Targaryen just that little bit more.
Aemma didn't look or act like any of her...

Bells were being rung, making sure that every last person in Kings Landing was being woken up, knights were calling out to them to make their way to the Dragon Pit.
Every exit, alley way, every nook and cranny was blocked over by knights, making sure that everyone would be there today to witness Aegons coronation.
People were stunned and confused as things like this rarely happened up in Kings Landing, they didn't throw many events, but they knew it couldn't be good news at how rushed this all seems to be and the fact that they want everyone to be there.
Knights on horses carrying the Targaryen symbol rode by, clearing the way for royal carriages to come through, the three headed dragon symbol letting everyone know who sat in the carriage.
In this particular carriage sat Alicent, Aegon and Aemma. All were sitting there in silence, still awkward, specifically between the two women and Aegon who hadn't spoken since they got in, choosing to stare out the window of the carriage, slumped down in his seat.
True to Alicents words last night, Aemma was wearing the most beautiful, elegant gown. A light sage green with pink flowers sewed into the corset, her collarbones and tops of her breasts showing, no necklace on show.
On her head sat a round tiara that went from one side to the other, it wasn't a huge flashy crown, but it did her justice until her coronation that would occur after Aegons.
It sat like a halo around her head, the gold glistening and shining when it hit the sunlight, to pair with her mother a veil had been sewed into the back, flowing down behind her back.
"Have the decency to look grateful", Alicent spoke up to scold him, done with his behavior. "Do you know what's been done to give you this day. In an hour you will be King and Aemma will be Queen."
"And our father never wanted this", Aegon grumbled, for once Aemma agreeing with her brother.
"That's not true", Alicent shook her head in disagreement.
"He had the time and years to name me heir. Instead vastly he held Rhaenyras claim", Aegon said emotionally, this clearly being a touchy subject for him.
"He changed his mind", Alicent tried to convince him.
"He could have! But he never did. Because he didn't like me", Aegon huffed out in a laugh, Aemma frowning as she heard this.
He laughed but his tone was less than happy, a harsh truth that it was, knowing you father, someone who shows love to all, all but you, you and to siblings.
Knowing that this did truly hurt him, as much as he didn't like to show it, Aemma reached forward and placed her palm on Aegons, giving it a squeeze.
She may not have loved or liked him as a husband, or maybe even like him that much as a brother, but all in all he was part of her, it was an unconditional love for her brother.
Aegon looking up in shock up to his sister, squeezing her hand back he slightly smiled at her, Aemma then reaching her hand back.
"And yet, with his final breath he whispered to me that you should take his place on the Throne", Alicent teared up, speaking truthfully as she did, her words were true, but the more she thought about Viserys intentions the more she doubted her decisions and herself.
As Aegon just shook his head laughing, turning back to look out the window, Alicent opened the box that sat in between them, her and Aegon to reveal Viserys Valyrian Steel dagger.
"Do not toy with me mother", Aegon begged, trying to keep his feelings down, not believing or seeing how this was all real.
"I speak the truth", she told him, looking into his eyes as she studied him.
Aegon reached down and put his hand on the handle of the dagger, feeling it's coldness on his fingertips as he picked it up bringing it close to the window so the light would bounce off of it as he examined it.
"Listen to me Aegon", Alicent tried to get him to pay attention to her, her and her words. "Your grandfather, The Hand. Will try to impress on you that Rhaenyra should be put to the sword. You must reject this council! You must not rule with cruelty and callousness. For all her faults she is your sister, your...your fathers other daughter-"
"Do you love me?", Aegon cut in to her small rant, looking from the dagger to her.
Their relationship had been a bit stand offish and awkward ever since the day before the trial for the succession of Driftmark.
Aemma had noticed it, but she did not know what had occurred before she had entered the room after what seemed to be a fight between the mother and son.
Looking at her son sadly, Alicent breathed and fluttered her eyes, letting a soft smile raise and take place in her face. "You imbecile!"
Aemma smiled as she watched her mother grab Aegons hands and kiss them, Aegon having a teary smile on his face, all he wanted was to make his mother proud and recently he seemed to fail at that more, day by day he just seemed to be making the wrong choices.
Now was his time to step up, she was entrusting him to be King and he had to use this new found power for the hood of the Realm and to protect his family.
"I got you a little gift, Flower", Alicent called to her daughter, pulling two pouches from beside her, handing them over to Aemma to open.
Opening the first pouch Aemma foudn the crown that had been woven into her hair on her wedding day, a golden crown that had been bent into the shapes of roses.
"Now that you'll be Queen, you'll get to wear this crown on more than just special occasions", Alicent smiled. "I have to admit that I have the poor blacksmith working hard on crowns for you."
"Thank you Mother", Aemma smiled, looking at the crown in her hands as she ran her fingers over all the small details.
"I did quite like how they styled it into your hair on the day", Aegon complimented, trying, wanting to change his ways, the 'day' referring to their wedding day.
"I'm glad", she laughed. "It was a pain to get out, probably tore out most of my hair."
"Open the other one", Alicent moved over to be closer to her as she hugged onto Aemma, excited for her reaction.
Aemma then picked up the smaller pouch and unlaced it, tilting it to the side so whatever was in it would fall gently into her palm.
A beautiful golden ring laid in Aemmas palm, it having designs of flowers ingraved deep into it, clearly a custom made as she turned to see her name ingraved into the side.
"It's perfect", Aemma sniffled, overwhelmed with the day.
"I got one made for all us girls in the family", Alicent revealed, showing Aemma her own hand. "All of them have a different design ingraved, but their matching. Me, you, Helaena and even have one made for Jaehaera when she grows up."
Hugging her mother close to her, Aemma kept her tears in, the sliding her ring onto her finger as she looked down at it.
