The week passed fast for Donghyuck when he worked so hard. He lost the number of days Mark started living in his apartment, and he also forgot Mom wanted the teacher to visit her sometime. What he did remember, however, was his condition, mostly because morning sickness didn't stop and if it wasn't enough, Donghyuck started gaining weight.
That is when Donghyuck began thinking about telling Dongchan. Just as he returned from work one Friday, spotted a pizza box in the living room, and no sight of Dongchan—the latter was into napping as Mark taught him it was good for kids to sleep after lunch—Donghyuck sat on the sofa next to his boyfriend and sighed.
"We have to tell Channie. We can't hide it every time I throw up and the symptoms will make him concerned..."
"I agree," Mark said, he didn't need more information to know what the talk was about. "The earlier he finds out, the more prepared he'd be."
"As a man who just recently unlocked a child and has another one pending, you know a lot about stuff like this," Donghyuck scoffed, slumping deeper into the sofa.
"What's with the wording? You sound like you're in a video game," Mark teased but then sighed. "Believe it or not, but after working with kids for that long, I got... I got XP."
"Stop," Donghyuck rolled his eyes.
"No, really. I got XP and—"
"And I lost stamina and resilience."
"I have an energy boost, though," Mark laughed, but noticing that Donghyuck didn't find it amusing anymore, he got serious. "You made a great choice. I'm with you."
So, they waited until Donchan got up, and were so soft with him that they made the best dinner together and Mark even left to buy cookies. Dongchan, being a kid, didn't see the two were trying to win his favor. He thought this day was no different from the others. But he was wrong.
"Channie, we want to tell you something," Donghyuck started as he watched how his and Mark's child happily ate cookies and held the glass of milk.
Being a kid of technology, he also stared at his phone, where he played some games. Donghyuck let this happen, but Mark didn't tolerate it ever since he entered their family. He was a little bit of a conservative type when it came to technology and didn't like how they ruined the kids. He also hated the communication Dongchan could have with his parents he exchanged with games.
Clearing his throat, Mark said, "Finish what you're doing and join us."
Dongchan looked up and Donghyuck had never seen him so obedient. He glanced at Mark, noticing his deep stare but he didn't seem mad. However, the kid must've thought otherwise and as he didn't want to test his daddy, he saved the game and turned it off.
"I'm listening," he even said which surprised Donghyuck.
"We have something to share with you that we recently found out," Mark took another step into the topic as he crossed his arms and leaned on his elbows.
The kid looked at them in curiosity. Donghyuck took a deep breath.
"You know that when two people love each other," he said, feeling nervous, "they kiss and make love—"
"That's called sex," Mark finished, catching Donghyuck off guard. "When two people love each other they have sex and—"
"No!" Donghyuck protested, then awkwardly laughed as he saw Dongchan looking at one parent, then another in confusion. He didn't know who to believe. "We didn't agree to tell him t-that," he hissed to his boyfriend. "Isn't it too soon?"
