"Hey, Deans." I greeted her as I answered the call.

"Can you contact Caitlin? She hasn't been answering her phone, eh. I've been trying to call her and texting her na susunduin ko siya but no reply from her."

"Wait. Let me check.."

Pagdating ko kanina ay hindi pa ako nagchecheck ng phone except when I asked Deanna if she could pick up Cait. After what happened in the care earlier on our way home, I realised that if I want to see some progress I should stop doing way too much for her. That I should treat her the same as how I treat my friends.. just that.

"No text from her too." sagot ko.

"Baka hindi pupunta?" naramdaman ko naman ang pag-aalala niya. She's friends with Cait and I know na she's comfortable around her, so I get why she's anxious about Cait not coming. "I'm with ate Beth, Kat, Necole, and Reg already. We're on our way na. Can't pick Cait na."

I took a deep breath. "Don't worry, Deans. I'll come pick her up. Kim and Jamie are here already and preparing for the food later. Feel yourself at home when you arrive, ha?"

After the call ended, lumapit ako kina mom. "Hey, mom.."

"Yes, anak?"

I smiled and hugged her. "I'm gonna go pick Cait. Deanna's supposed to pick her up but Cait has not answered any of her calls yet."

Mom turned to look at me with a cheeky smile. "As you should. Take her home safe, okay?"

I shyly smiled at mom before nodding. I have no idea if she knows na I like Cait, but she's my mom.. I know she knows.

"J!"

"Yes, Bei? Oh.. Saan ka pupunta?" she asked nung nakita niyang hawak ko 'yung susi ng sasakyan.

"Picking up Cait."

Her forehead creased. "Huh? Akala ko ba si Deanna na tinawagan mo? You might caught on a heavy traffic, Bei."

I only laugh at her. "Hindi 'yan. And besides, I'm gonna go pick something to drink din for us."

The look on Jamie's eyes made me nervous a bit. Lumapit rin naman si Kim as she tapped on J's shoulder. "Let her go na para hindi lalong matagalan. Also.."

"Also what, Kim?" takang-tanong nito.

Kim only looked at me deeply. "Sige na, Bei. Go ahead. Drive safe!"

I waved at them before heading out. Tried calling her again but still not answering my calls.

I went straight to the reception and told them Cait's expecting me. They called her unit's phone and they let me go up. I quickly went up to her floor.
