Kion was walking aimlessly through the snowy tundra. He was still pondering on what his grandfather had said to him earlier.

Flaskback:

Mufasa: Even if you were banished from the Tree of Life, doesn't mean there isn't another way to heal your scar, Kion. You can heal your scar Kion, and you will be reunited with your friends and family if you try.

Kion: But how?

Mufasa: Even on the darkest day Kion, you can find hope. Trust yourself and learn to control your emotions. And if you ever need guidance or someone to talk to, I will always be here.

Kion: Ok, Thank you very much grandfather Mufasa.

End of Flashback

After his talk with Mufasa, Kion was more hopeful and determined to find a way to heal his scar and reunite with his friends. As he was walking, he noticed a giant stone formation that was very mountainous.

The structure also seemed to be pulling Kion toward it as if that was where he needed to go. Thus, Kion entered the formidable structure. Little did he know, that his entrance signified a great shift in his life forever.

He was confused at first because inside were just rocks scattered around.

Kion: Ummm, hello? Is anybody here?

However, he then heard a noise coming from above and a bright light gleamed and the figure of a grown lion's face appeared in the clouds.

???: Greetings Kion! I am Askari.

Kion: Askari?! You were the leader of the first ever Lion Guard, correct?

Askari: Yes Kion, and I know that you are the leader of the newest Lion Guard.

Kion: Well, yes I am. But I got this scar from a great battle against evil, and it has been making me "evil" and short-tempered. In addition, I can't control the Roar anymore, so I am starting to feel that I should give it up.

Askari: Kion, don't feel hopeless and melancholy just because of your scar. It is just on the outside, but you can overcome it on the inside. You need to learn control and focus in order to wield the Roar properly.

Kion: What do you mean?

Askari: Let me train you.

Meanwhile at the Tree of Life

Anga and Ono are searching around the Tree of Life territory but cannot find Kion or any signs of him anywhere.

The Lion Guard and Night Pride parted ways and searched the nearby east lands and west lands.

The East Lands

The Lion Guard was talking to a heard of camel that were passing by.

Bunga: Have you guys seen a lion around here?

The lead camel shook his head.

Bunga: Ok, thanks for your help.

The camel nodded his head in recognition and continued on his way, and so did the Lion Guard.

The West Lands

The Night Pride was talking to a herd of caribou that were walking by and some deer.

Rani: Pardon me, but have you seen a lion with golden fur and a red mane anywhere?

The lead caribou and the deer shook their heads in negativity.

Rani: Oh, ok. Thank you for your help anyway.

The Night Pride then split up to cover more ground but by the end of the day they didn't find Kion or any trace of him. They had to head back to the Tree of Life to meet up with the Lion Guard.

Tree of Life

The two guards met in front of the Tree of Life and discussed their findings.

Fuli: We didn't find Kion anywhere along the eastern lands.

Bunga: Let alone any signs of him.

Rani: Same. We didn't find anyone who even knew about Kion or even seen him anywhere. I guess all hope is lost.

Ono: It's ok, we'll see what to do in the morning.

Beshte: Good night.

Night Pride: Good night everyone.

The Lion Guard and the Night Pride parted ways for the night. But during the night patrol, Nirmala noticed that Rani was a little down and decided to ask her what her reason was.

Nirmala: Rani, are you ok?

Rani: What?   Yes Nirmala, I am kind of ok.

Nirmala: What's wrong?

Rani: Nothing.

Nirmala: Rani, just tell me.

Both lionesses had a silent staring contest, but Nirmala won.

Rani: Fine. It's just that I still have a bad feeling about the Lion Guard. It's my duty to defend the Tree of Life, but what if something goes wrong.

Nirmala: It is great that you take your duty very seriously Rani; I know that your parents would be proud. But you need to learn how to trust others by giving them a chance.

Rani: Ok Nirmala, thank you.

Nirmala: No Problem, Rani.

The Night Pride continued their patrol throughout the night.

Kion must be found sooner or later, otherwise the Tree of Life will be in grave danger.
