Chapter 20: Another Hostage

Bunga: Azaad! Are you sure you know where you're going?!

Azaad: Trust me! I'm absolutely positive!

Bunga: Only fools are positive!

Azaad: Are you sure?

Bunga: I'm positive!

Anga and Ono were flying from above and heard the commotion unfold between the two animals.

Ono: That doesn't even make any sense you guys!

Anga: Yep.

Bunga: Whatever! Let's just find Kion.

The search squad continued on their journey. They continued wandering until they found a small clearing with a lake on the other side of some trees. Nighttime was fast approaching so the squadron decided to rest there for the night.

Anga: I think this is a good place to rest for the night.

Ono: What is it? Where are we?

Anga: We are in a small clearing for the night. Their is a lake nearby and we are surrounded by trees.

Ono: Ok, this is ideal.

Anga: I am going to go get fish to eat, so be right back.

Anga flew off to the lake to grab fish to eat.

Bunga flopped down against a large stone that seemed hospitable.

Bunga: *sighed* Finally we can rest. We did so much.

Ono: What do you mean we Bunga? All you did was complain the whole way!

Bunga: But I at least accompanied you guys for this journey!

Azaad: That is true however, you still didn't do anything.

Bunga: UGH!

Anga flew down the lake and peered into the crystal clear water.

Anga: Alright! Time for din-

There was a rustling sound in the bushes right behind her.

Anga: Hello? Who's there?

Still no reply.

Anga: Bunga, if this is a prank, I am going to kill you!

Anga then shrugged it off and was about to spur into flight when two lions pounced on her. One standing in front of her and one with a paw on her tail, holding her in place.

Anga tried to struggle free, but she couldn't. The lion was too strong and heavy.

Anga: Who are you and what do you want?!

Uovu: I thought you have seen us here before little birdie.

Cheka: Indeed.

Anga: Wait! Are you Cheka and Uovu?!

Cheka: For once someone gets our names correct!

Uovu: Bravo!

Cheka: Anyways, we are in a hurry so we will get going.

Anga: You aren't taking me anywhere!

Uovu: Are you sure about that?

Uovu's eyes then lit up and Anga stared into them as if being stripped of her consciousness. She screamed and struggled against them but then, the struggle ceased. Anga lay on the ground unconsciousness.

Uovu: That was too easy.

Cheka: Yes, now let's bring her back to Scar. She should make great company for the so called "Fiercest".

And with that Uovu picked up Anga in his jaws and carried her toward Scar's secret hideout.

Meanwhile...

Bunga: It has been like an hour! Where is Anga?

Ono: Have patience Bunga. I'm sure she's just having bad luck.

Bunga: But you know Anga! She's always very quick in finding fish. She's usually back within a couple minutes!

Ono: You're right. Let's go to the lake and check up on her.

Bunga: Let's go- Wait, should we wake up the sleepy cat?  Bunga said gesturing towards a slumbering Azaad.

Ono: I guess.

Bunga: Ok.  Bunga walked over to Azaad and shook him. Azaad didn't even move. Bunga him harder, but still nothing. Finally, Bunga lost his patience and yelled in Azaad's ear.

Bunga: WAKE UP SLEEPY CAT!!!

Azaad immediately jumped up and yelled in pain.

Azaad: Ahhhh my ear! What's the idea Bunga?

Bunga: We need to check on Anga. She's been gone for over an hour!

Azaad: Ok, let's go. Mibinamet!  Azaad ran in the direction of the lake, or, what he thought was the direction of the lake.

Bunga: Azaad where are you going?! The lake is this way!  Bunga said, pointing to the exact opposite direction of where he was headed.

Azaad: Oh yeah! I totally knew that!

Azaad turned around and sped ahead again.

Bunga turned to Ono and sighed.

Bunga: This dude is crazy!

Ono: You're no different.

Bunga: Hey!  Bunga ran over to Ono and picked him up and ran after Azaad.

When the trio reached the lake, they saw nothing.

Azaad: Where are you Anga? Are you here?

Azaad was met with utter silence.

Bunga: Anga! Where are you!

Once again, the trio was met with an eerie, numbing silence. Where could their friend be?

Just then, they spotted something that chilled themselves to the bone. The horrific scene in front of them was some purple feathers scattered on the ground with some red blood on them. Just from looking at them, the trio knew that the feathers, were Anga's.

Bunga: What happened here?!

Ono: What is happening? What did you find?

Bunga: We just found some purple feathers that most definitely belong to Anga, with some dry red blood on them.

Azaad: What does this all mean?

Ono closed his eyes and thought for a moment.

Ono: Nawaza-Nawaza- Oh! Anga must've been attacked here by something. I hope she' ok.

Bunga: Who would ambush her though?

Ono: I think there is only on specific explanation for this.

Azaad: Well what is it?

Ono: Anga's been attacked and taken away by Scar or his minions. In any way shape or form, it has to be Scar's doing.

Bunga: But why would he want to do this?

Ono: So it would weaken us severely and because she's the keenest of sight, we wouldn't be able to find Kion that easily

Bunga: So what do we do now?

Ono: I think we shou-

Ono was interrupted by a bustling sound in the bushes behind him.

However, when he looked back, he only caught a glimpse of a purple figure with a streamline body before he was knocked down.

Ono: A-Anga?

That was all Ono could say. Then, he blacked out.
