Rani: I don't know. It seems like we're lost.

Kion: I think you're right. I have no clue where we are right now. When they abducted us, they transported us to an unknown location. Now that we escaped, we have to find out where we are and how to return to the Tree of Life.

Rani: You are right. We must arrive as soon as possible. We don't know when the next attack is or what is going to happen to us or the others if we don't get there in time.

Kion: Then let's get moving!

Kion and Rani hastily traversed through the dense forest. The trees were so large that they blocked out most of the sunlight, dimming the environment. They walked on until they came to an unsuspecting halt for an unfortunate reason.

Rani's stomach grumbled lightly, and she confirmed her hunger. She came to a halt and gestured for Kion to stop as well.

Kion: What's wrong Rani? What did you stop?

Rani: Kion, I feel hungry. Is there anything to eat near here?

Kion: I have no idea. You live around here, at least, I think. I'd hope you knew where the eating grounds were.

Rani giggled at his antics but was interrupted by her stomach rumbling yet again.

Rani: Can you find something to eat?

Kion: I thought lionesses always do the hunting.  Kion smirked at his snarky comment.

Rani rolled her eyes.

Rani: Please? I feel weak and I am very hungry.

Kion: Okay fine. But I must warn you, my hunting skills are average.

Rani: I was afraid you'd say that.

Kion rolled his eyes playfully and ran off.

As soon as he was out of sight, Rani collapsed to the ground, exhausted after running for so long. She lay her head in her paws and closed her eyes, finally at peace. However, that peace was short-lasted when she heard a faint rustling sound. She swiftly turned around and stood up.

She scanned the milieu until she heard another sound that appeared louder than the last.

Rani: What is that?

She approached the sound until she was scared out of her life by someone coming up right behind her.

Kion: Hey Rani.

Rani screamed and she felt her heart stop. Kion was shocked at her reaction and instead of helping her, he started laughing. Rani looked at him in annoyance, but smiled.

Rani: Seriously?

Kion: What did I ever do? Do I look that hideous?

Rani wanted to say, You're actually the complete opposite, but she contained herself. Instead, she laughed and stood up once again.

Rani: Maybe.

Kion: I am offended.

Rani rolled her eyes then gestured to the dead animal a way behind him. She saw a dead bison about twice to thrice the size of him lying on the ground. Furthermore, there was only one bite mark present on the skin of the animal. Her eyes widened in shock and looked at him as if he had just blown up the world.

Rani: How did you do that?

Kion: That's for me to know and you to never know.

Rani: Of course it is. Come on now, let's eat.

Kion and Rani started devouring the bison quicker than the speed of light. They licked their muzzles clean after finishing and lied down on the ground. Both lions were extremely tired from exhaustion and the meal, they needed to sleep.
