Rani: What was that?!

Rani knew that sound and it was full of terror and worry.

When the scream pierced through the air again, she became stone-faced, hit with a terrible realization. All the others seemed to understand too, because as soon as Rani was about to recommend going to the tree, Bunga dashed off, faster than Fuli herself.

Everyone else followed Bunga toward the Tree of Life and upon entering, they came across a sight that broke their hearts and possibly vanquished them.

They saw the queen lying down on the ground, with blood seeping from her mouth. Makini stood in front of her with staff in hand to protect the elderly royal.

As soon as the Night Pride laid eyes on the scene, tears flowed freely from their eyes. The mere sight of their queen with blood trickling from her mouth haunted them to their very core.

The two lions standing in front of Makini were none other than Cheka and Uovu. Kion knew the significance of their presence and knew what had to be done.

The two lions turned around like lightening and smirked evilly.

Cheka: You may have gotten rid of Scar, but this is the end of the line for your precious queen. Are you little ones ready to loose your precious grandmother now?  Cheka said, gesturing to Rani and Baliyo who were balling their eyes out.

Kion growled at them and got into a fighting stance.

Uovu: What are you gonna do little hero? You got lucky with Scar, but this is the end of the Tree of Life's reign.

Kion: How did you get back here?!

Uovu: It's amazing what one can do with teleportation powers.

Uovu then pulled out an orb that glowed with such brightness that it illuminated the Tree of Life's interior, making it shine brighter than ever.

Cheka: This is called the Orb of Travel. It has the power of-

Cheka was interrupted by Kion lunging at him and knocking the orb out of his grasp. The orb landed in front of Kion, who was now standing in front of the queen and Makini.

Kion: This ends now!

Kion's eyes turned golden once more and he started hovering.

The Night Pride and Lion Guard stood in place once more, afraid to move or do anything.

They watched with wide eyes as both male lions were engulfed in a glowing golden aura of light. As the aura engulfed the two villains, they cried out in agony and pain, but Kion seemed unphased and too determined to care. Both lions soon disintegrated and the golden aura disappeared.

Rani: W-What happened?

Kion's eyes returned to normal, and his paws settled on the ground once more.

Kion: We won't have to worry about them anymore.

Beshte: Kion?! What'd you do to them?

Kion: I just used their own powers on themselves. Their own power combined with my abilities created a force so strong that it crushed them, destroying the bane of their very existence forever. So, like I said before, we don't have to worry about them for a while now.

Rani recovered from her daze and rushed towards Kion and hugged him so tightly that Kion thought he was being squeezed by 2 boa constrictors.

Rani: I love you!

Everyone stood frozen in shock and Nirmala just managed to hold back a giggle. Baliyo looked as if his mouth was about to fall off and Surak beamed proudly. The Lion Guard had their eyes almost popping out of their heads.
