Rani: What is happening?
Rani ran to the Tree of Life and what she saw had her frozen in place.
She saw the Night Pride, Fuli, and Beshte fighting for their lives in front of the tree. All had scars and bruises covering them.
They were surrounded by predators: leopards, komodo dragons, porcupines, and some other familiar foes. As Rani peered further into the crowd of villains, her eyes landed upon Cheka, Uovu, and Scar.
Rani's heart was filled with pure rage as she dashed down the hill, faster than the speed of light to help her friends.
Baliyo was bravely engaging 2 leopards in a fierce battle. Bite. Dodge. Lunge. Recover. Baliyo was getting exhausted by the constant repetition of the fight. His energy was draining fast, same to say for the rest of his friends.
However, they knew they couldn't let any villain enter the Tree of Life, for their grandmother was stationed inside and she was a completely vulnerable target for them.
During Baliyo's pause, a leopard lunged at him, expecting to give a finishing blow when a certain brown-furred lioness hit him aside. The leopard recovered and growled at Rani as she stood in front of her brother to protect him.
Rani took another look at everyone, and she was sure that they wouldn't be able to stand in a massive battle. They were barely able to stand, let alone engage more than thrice their numbers in a battle.
As if it couldn't get any more hopeless, more characters appeared on the hill. Everyone's faces quickly turned from worried to petrified when they saw the condition of their former friends. Bunga, Ono, Anga, and Azaad stared down at them with evil smirks on their faces. They perfectly matched Rani's description.
As if it couldn't get worse, one more character emerged from behind them. Their only hope, Kion.
As Rani laid eyes on him, tears started to slightly swell up in her eyes, but she quickly shook them away. She couldn't get weak and fall apart, especially at this moment. Kion looked just like her dream, he looked extremely different, and extremely evil.
Without saying a word, they all looked toward Scar, who nodded. With that, all 5 charged forward.
