Chapter 27- Don't let go
Dave picked me up from Jason's place as he wanted to be left alone, I guess if I was in his position I would too. Once I got home I stayed with Mag, as she wouldn't leave me alone, and ended up telling her everything that happened while Dave was snoozing away as he had work the next day.
"And she said he hasn't got much time left..." I cried my uncontrollable tears. She got of the kitchen chair and gave me a tight bear hug. It felt good being in Mag's arms, I couldn't remember the last time I had a moment like this with my own mother. She kissed the top of my head and released me, wiping my tears away.
"Listen to me Libby I understand that your hurting but you need to stay strong. What will Jason say if he sees you like this?" she asked her voice intent. I shrugged my shoulders and hugged her again. "Hunny, please don't cry. You need to be strong for Jason's sake. Don't think about the future but enjoy the moments you have now" She said delicately as I was still crying. A few seconds later I released her and nodded, she's right I said to myself. If I won't be strong then who will? I wiped the tears and stood up straight.
"I promise I'll be strong. Just stay with me. Always" I requested, I really needed a mother.
"Of course baby, I'm always here for you. I'm practically your second mother now" she smiled bringing me into a tight hug and kissed my forehead.
"Mag... Could I sleep with you today?"
"Sure. Let's go. We'll go into your room as Dave is already sleeping" she said wrapping her arm around my waist and we walked to my room. A few days later I woke up late in the morning to find my bed empty, as I had slept with Mag for the past couple of days. I dragged myself out of bed and went down stairs in my white hearted, pink, fluffy robe.
"Morning Hunny. How did you sleep?" Mag asked kissing my forehead and handing me a mug of hot chocolate when I went into the kitchen.
"Okay" I replied taking a sip; the hot chocolate burning my tongue but it was divine.
"Morning Lobster" I lifted my head up to see Jason. He kissed my forehead, smiled at me and sat down. "Can I have a sip?" he asked eyeing my hot chocolate, I nodded not believing the fact that he was here, next to me, especially after his 'breakdown'. He handed me the mug back.
"Jason!" I cried "I said you can have a sip not the whole thing" I looked at my empty mug.
"Here have mine. I'll make a new one" Mag said laughing and handing me her Mug. I took a sip and held it tight in my hands.
"What are you doing here? I thought you wanted to stay home" I asked still annoyed.
"To pick you up" he replied. I narrowed my eyebrows.
"Why do I need picking up?"
"Because were going out. So get dressed" he said grabbing a basket of the floor.
"We're having a picnic?" I asked excitedly as I never had a picnic before. I know shocking right. He smirked at me and nodded.
"Just me and you" he winked, causing to me to roll my eyes.
"Mag can't you come too? Please" I pleaded her.
"Jason?" she asked, I turned around making the puppy dog face. He smiled helplessly and nodded.

I was wearing a floral knee-high dress with a black cardigan. I pulled my socks on and slipped on my pink and white converse. I applied simple make-up as I wanted a casual look.
"Mag hurry" I yelled as I went down to the main room.
"Five more minutes" she yelled back running around her room. "Libby can I borrow a top?" she yelled.
"Sure, go crazy" I replied back making my way down the stairs.
"Hey beautiful" Jason said waiting at the end of the steps. I stayed on the last step so I was slightly taller than him. I wrapped my arms around his neck while he had his arms around my waist.
"You okay?" I asked, his face tensed. He sighed loudly.
"I'll be alright" he brought me into a tight hug and I cradled his face in the crook of my neck. I ran my fingers through his hair and took in his signature cologne. We stayed like that for a good couple of minutes, enjoying the soundless moment.
"Alright I'm ready" we heard Mag say coming down the stairs. I released my grip around Jason resulting in him making a loud groan.
"Come on" I said understanding his gloominess. By the time Mag reached the last step we had already got in the car and were waiting patiently for her.
