The present day

Alone, in a dark pitch black room looking up at the inky blackness of the night sky through my bed room window. The only light source is coming from the moon high in the sky; a perfect silver luminous disk hung above the frozen, crystal Lake. A forest full of ghostly trees just swaying along with the light breeze completing the beautiful dazzling scenery and there I was, a twenty-two year old  looking in the horizon miserable, alone and heartbroken.

“ Libby that’s it you have to tell me what’s up, you have been like this for ages. I’ve been here for over a week and still not a single word from you. It’s about time you speak up and tell me what’s wrong” Nick said; a young twenty-three year old, across the room; he stood tall and stiff leaning against the door on one hand while the other gently relaxed in his black jean pocket held by an expensive looking silver belt matching his grey eyes. His jet black trendily scruffy hair and his smoky grey eyes gleaming as bright as the opaque moon in the gloomy room. He had an impressive, toned body and his black t-shirt clung to his chest, showing off his well-built torso. He wore black and white Hugo shoes completing his out-fit.
“Nick I’ve been through a lot before you came from New York, so obviously I’ll be like this hasn’t Sam told you anything, she always does” I replied about to roll my eyes but bedazzled by his eyes deeply locked with my dark brown eyes.

“When did you start to call me Nick? And second Sam is my sister, you know we don’t talk much plus all she told me was that you’re going through a rough time and you need support. So what’s happened while I was away, and I prefer to know the full story not just short info” he walked towards the window sill where I sat, I pulled my knees up to my chest clinging onto the cushion, giving Nick space to sit down beside me. I began talking again. It felt good to hear my vice after so long.
“You know I remember everything; how it all started to how it all ended. One minute I was living the dream and next it all just disappeared. So basically I just turned 16 and I came to live with my auntie a while after my parents died (in a car accident) and then you went abroad after our graduation. It was really hard starting a new life; new place, new people, new school and new friends, until I met someone who showed me how to have fun and then it was all gone in a blink of an eye.  It all started five years ago on the 25th of September”…
