A/n: hey y'all! Still took forever, but that's fine lol. It's finals week and so I just kinda ended up getting busy again after I posted the last one. The reason I'm writing this is because I wanted to let you guys know that I am probably going to disappear for a little longer than normal. I can't say for sure how long I'll be gone, so I wanted to leave a note and let you know that I'm okay. I've got a surgery (it's not for anything major, but it's still surgery, y'know?) and I'm probably not going to feel like writing for a couple weeks at least after it. I will try and get as much as I can written before hand.
Anyways, love y'all! Enjoy the oneshot!

"Y/n~chan! You're back!" Ume called as you walked into the kitchen. "How was your first day?"
You shrugged. "It was alright. I...I think I made a friend or two."
"You think?" She asked.
"Y/n! Y/n!" Suzuki called. "You're home!"
You smiled to Suzuki then looked up at Ume. "Yeah, I'm not sure. He listened to me talk about anime for like twenty minutes and was late to practice. Oh! By the way, the volleyball team asked if I wanted to watch practice? I didn't want to stay late without telling you."
"See, you're doing better than you thought. Suzuki, honey, let Y/n~chan go for a minute."
Suzuki had been hugging your legs trying to get your attention. "But I want to play with Y/n! Gen never wants to do anything with me!"
"I'll play with you later, Suzuki~chan," you said. "I need to talk to your mom for a while, okay?"
Suzuki seemed disappointed at the realisation that you couldn't spend time with her, but she was happy to hear that you would spend time with her when you were done. She nodded and ran back toward her room.
"It's...a little more complicated than that, Ume~san," you said after Suzuki had disappeared up the stairs. "When...will Dad be home?"
Ume glanced at the calendar. "Not for another little while. Would you be more comfortable talking about it with him?"
You sighed. You didn't know Ume that well, but you didn't know your dad much better in hindsight. This was the kind of thing you would always talk with your mom about when the both of you could find the time to sit down and talk. Besides, did your dad even want to hear about the stupid high school drama you had? Or did you even have any? Those girls sure seemed serious. "I guess not..."
"Well something's clearly bothering you."
"It's just...I don't know if they were serious, but there were a bunch of girls that said that the guys that I met were super popular. I guess Inarizaki is known for sports? Or maybe volleyball. Either way, they told me I should stay away from him because they were going to go out with him or something," you explained.
Ume raised a brow. "Really? I didn't expect a high school out here to be big on anything."
"That's what they told me," you said. "My school wasn't very good at volleyball. So I don't know anything about Inarizaki as a school. But...I want to be friends with them. Miya~san seemed...nice."
"Then go see the volleyball team tomorrow," Ume said. She gave you a bright smile, reaching over the counter and gingerly placing her hand on top of yours. "Don't let some random girls make you be lonely. If Miya~san and the rest of the volleyball team want you to come watch to make you feel welcome, then go see them. Your dad won't mind."

FanfictionThis is basically just a new book of oneshots since my old one is from like three years ago. Some of them are rewrites. This is mostly x readers, just like the last one. Most of the time, the reader will be female, but I try not to make it as ambigu...
