A/n: day 2, and in at number 9 is Sanji! Again shocking but this also isn't the longest one out of the 10, this is still one of the longest things I've ever written on Wattpad though, so, hope you guys feel fed after this!

The sky burned red as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the deck of the Thousand Sunny. Cannon fire roared, shaking the ship as the crew of the Straw Hat Pirates fought to hold their ground. The enemy, a vicious band of bounty hunters, had ambushed them, forcing the crew into a desperate fight.

You crouched in a corner, clutching your journal tightly against your chest. Your hands trembled as the ship rocked beneath your feet. You hated battles. Hated the blood, the screaming, the chaos that swallowed everything whole. A shout tore through the noise, drawing your attention to the centre of the deck.

Sanji, the crew's chef and your... well, you weren't sure what to call him. Partner? Lover? It was complicated, but you knew one thing for certain, he was yours, and you were his. He was a blur of motion, his kicks slicing through the air with deadly precision. His blonde hair shone like gold in the dying light, and a cigarette hung lazily from his lips despite the danger.

But then it happened. Your heart stopped as a blade slashed across Sanji's chest, the force of the blow sending him crashing to the deck. The cigarette fell from his lips, rolling uselessly across the wooden planks. Blood bloomed across his shirt like a dark flower, and his eyes fluttered shut. "Sanji!" The scream tore from your throat before you could stop it.

You bolted from your hiding spot, your journal forgotten as it tumbled to the floor. You fell to your knees beside him, your hands pressing against the gaping wound in a futile attempt to stop the bleeding. "Stay with me" you begged, your voice cracking. "You can't leave us. You can't leave me". Sanji's lips curved into a faint smile, his eyes barely opening. "You're... beautiful when you're worried" he murmured, his voice weak. "Shut up!" You snapped, tears streaming down your face. "This isn't funny!" The light in his eyes was fading.

"Y/n, get back!" Chopper's voice, shrill with urgency, cut through your panic. The small reindeer, the ship's doctor, skidded to a halt beside you, already pulling supplies from his medical bag. "I'll take it from here!" As he spoke, his voice trembled, he pressed gauze to Sanji's chest. "But he- he's losing too much blood!" You choked, your hands hovering helplessly. "I can save him" Chopper said firmly, though his wide eyes betrayed his fear. "Trust me". You hesitated, then nodded, your breath hitching as you stumbled back, tears continuing to stain your face as you watched Chopper work.

The battle raged on around them, but all you could see was Sanji's pale face, his chest barely rising and falling. His eyes fluttered open one last time for a brief moment, and he smiled, soft, crooked, and painfully weak. "Don't cry, love" he murmured, his voice barely audible. "I'll... be fine".

Hours later, the battle was over. The enemy's ship had been destroyed, and the crew, battered but victorious, set about repairing the Sunny and tending to their individual wounds. You hadn't left the infirmary since the fight ended. You sat in a corner, your journal gently placed on the floor beside you, as Chopper worked tirelessly to stabilize Sanji.

The reindeer's tiny hooves moved with practiced precision, stitching the wound closed and administering medicine to ease the pain. "He'll be okay" Chopper said at last, his voice soft but reassuring. "He's tough. He just needs rest". You let out a shaky breath, tears of relief welling in your eyes. "Thank you, Chopper" you whispered. Chopper gave you a small smile, then shuffled out of the room to check on the others.

The infirmary was quiet now, save for the soft sound of Sanji's breathing. You moved to his bedside, pulling up a chair and sitting down heavily. "Idiot," you muttered, you laid your head on his bed, occasionally looking up at him. You finally sat up properly, brushing a strand of blonde hair from his forehead. "You really scared me half to death". As if in response, Sanji stirred, a low groan escaping his lips. "Sanji?" You leaned closer.
