3rd person's pov

Haruhi smiled as she finished packing her suitcase, she heard Emi frantically throwing things around in her room which made her chuckle. She shook her head and walked to Emi's room, "You need help packing, Emi?" Haruhi asked, leaning against the door. She had a smile on her face as she watched her sister frantically packing clothes. "No, I don't need help! I can pack my suitcase by myself, thank you very much!" Emi stated, pouting at her older twin sister. Haruhi chuckled in amusement, "Alright then. I'll be in Dad's room packing if you need help." Haruhi left Emi's room, her sister huffing as she placed some clothes on the bed and started folding them. Haruhi, Ryoji, and Emi were finally able to go on a trip this year for Christmas, Ryoji's boss had granted him vacation days. Ryoji had saved enough money to take the trip, the trio heading to Karuizawa and staying with Misuzu and Yori's family. The two were waiting for Ryoji to come back from running last-minute errands, Emi placed her clothes strategically in the suitcase but for some reason, she couldn't fit her sweatpants in the suitcase. "Ugh!!" Emi threw her head back in frustration, she didn't want to admit to Haruhi that she once again needed help packing a suitcase. Emi stared at the stubborn sweatpants, her frustration. They refused to fit into the already cramped suitcase no matter how she folded, twisted, or squeezed. She cursed under her breath, not wanting to admit defeat. Haruhi had always been organized and efficient when it came to packing, and Emi didn't want to appear helpless in her eyes. Emi sighed and tried once again, smiling to herself as she finally managed to fit the sweatpants in the suitcase. When Ryoji came back, he grabbed the suitcases and made the girls lunch.

Just as they were about to finish lunch, there was a knock at the door. "Huh? I wonder who's at the door.." Ryoji wiped his mouth and hands, put his napkin on the table, and went to answer the door. When he opened it, he was fairly surprised to find Tamaki at the door holding presents. "Tamaki, what are you doing here?" Ryoji asked, "I wanted to give Haruhi and Emi their Christmas gifts before you left on your trip. I also got you something as well." Tamaki smiled at Ryoji, handing him three gift bags. Ryoji was slightly surprised, "Thank you, Tamaki. You didn't have to buy gifts for us." He took the gift bags from Tamaki, giving him a small smile.

"It's nothing. Have a safe trip and tell the girls I said Merry Christmas."

"Alright," Ryoji nodded, he said goodbye to Tamaki and watched as the blonde-haired young man walked down the stairs and headed toward his limo. He looked down at the bags, closed the front door, and went to the dining table. "Who was it, Dad?" Haruhi asked, she looked up from her plate and was surprised to find gift bags in her father's hands. "Are those for us?" She asked.

"Yes, Tamaki dropped by. He wanted me to give you your gifts. He even bought me a present." Ryoji sat down, placing the gift bags on the chair beside him.

"I'm surprised he held it together and didn't start crying when you opened the door." Emi said, "Yeah, me too." Haruhi agreed. "You girls excited for the trip?" Ryoji smiled, "Yeah. This is the first time we'll be able to spend time with you on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day." Emi smiled at her father, she loved spending time with Ryoji.

"Yes, it is. Misuzu has a lot planned for us to do when we get there."

The group arrived in Karuizawa, which was heavily decorated with lights and Christmas decorations. The quaint town of Karuizawa sparkled with the brilliance of a thousand twinkling lights. Streets lined with charming wooden houses were adorned in festive attire as if nature itself had conspired to create a winter wonderland. The air was crisp and filled with the scent of pine, carrying whispers of anticipation for the upcoming holiday season. As Haruhi, Ryoji, and Emi drove along the streets, their eyes were greeted by an array of dazzling Christmas decorations. Colorful ornaments dangled from every tree branch, casting playful reflections on the snow-covered ground. Wreaths adorned doors, exuding warmth and welcome to all who passed by.Children laughed and played, their rosy cheeks contrasting against the backdrop of frosty white. held hands, their breath visible in the chilly air as they reveled in the magic of the moment. And amidst it all, laughter and joy blended harmoniously with the soft jingle of bells, creating a symphony that resonated deep within their hearts. In Karuizawa, where lights danced and dreams came alive, there was no denying that this picturesque town had truly embraced the spirit of Christmas.

"Wow, they really went all out for Christmas, didn't they?" Haruhi said, smiling as they passed some street vendors who were playing music. "Yes, they did." Ryoji smiled, "Do you think Yori and his family arrived at the lodge yet?" Emi asked, she could hardly tear her eyes away from the lights and decorations. "I'm pretty sure they did, if I know Yoshi and Tracy, they definitely got here much earlier than we did." Ryoji answered, and he was correct about that. Yori and his family had already arrived in Karuizawa ahead of Haruhi, Emi, and Ryoji and helped Misuzu put together a menu and itinerary of what they would be doing while staying at the lodge. Tracy was able to take Christmas off from work, which was something that all three of her kids were happy about. When Vivian heard Ryoji's car outside, she grew very excited and could hardly keep it together. "They're here!" Vivian ran past her father who was just coming down the stairs with Misuzu behind him. "Oh my goodness, she's just full of energy." Misuzu chuckled. "Vivian, slow down for a minute." Tracy laughed as she grabbed her coat and slipped on her shoes, just as Vivian opened the front door. Ryoji parked the car, Emi and Haruhi stepped out as Ryoji opened the trunk and grabbed their suitcases. "EMI!! HARUHI!!" The twins heard their names called and turned around, smiling as they saw Vivian come running down the steps of the lodge. Tracy came outside with Yoshi and Misuzu following after her, warm smiles on their faces as Ryoji greeted them. Emi picked up Vivian, smothering her with light tickles and kisses.

"Hey, Ryoji. It's been a while." Yoshi smiled, taking the suitcases from him. "Yes, it has." The two hugged one another, Tracy hugging Ryoji as well.

"Was your ride here, alright?"

"Yes, it was."

The group headed inside, greeted with warmth, the smell of freshly baked goods, and warm welcomes from Anna and Yori. Emi smiled at her friends and family, she knew that this Christmas was going to be one she would never forget.
